The 5 Best Motorcycle Repair Shops in Vancouver That’ll Get You Back on the Road Fast

motorcycle-repair-shops-in-vancouver
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Quality of Work: We chose repair shops that consistently fix motorcycles correctly the first time. We looked for mechanics who make sure every part works safely and reliably before handing the motorcycle back.

Turnaround Time: We considered how quickly each shop completes repairs. Shops that stick to their promised timelines score higher.

Customer Service: We valued repair shops that communicate clearly, answer questions patiently, and treat customers with respect.

Pricing: We compared costs to the value of the service provided. We prioritised shops that are transparent about estimates, use quality parts, and avoid hidden fees.

A couple of months ago, my bike broke down right in the middle of a weekend ride. My friend and I tried to fix it ourselves (with way too much confidence, might I add). But after a few failed attempts and a lot of grease on our hands, we had to admit defeat.

If you’ve ever been stranded with a bike that refuses to cooperate, you know how frustrating it feels.

It might be the trauma of that unfortunate experience, and so I gathered my team to dig and find the best motorcycle repair shops in Vancouver. You know, the kind of places that actually know their stuff, treat riders right, and get you back on the road fast.

Here are the ones that stood out during our research.

How much do motorcycle repairs cost in Vancouver?

Motorcycle repair costs in Vancouver can range from $80–$160 per hour, depending on the service provider and the complexity of the work.

We really liked the Essential Motorcycle Services’ space. When we visited, the layout was clean, well-organised, and inviting.

There’s an honesty in the way they work that’s hard to find these days. They don’t rush you through, which many appreciate. They take the time to explain what’s wrong, and they aren’t afraid to show you the parts or demonstrate the repair.

They’re great with everyday stuff, like oil changes, tyre swaps, and radiator fixes.

Weekend hours are a bonus. We even heard someone who arrived late without an appointment, and the team still accommodated them.

On the flip side, if you’re dreaming of a full-on engine rebuild or doing something really exotic with an old bike, this might not be the spot.

They’re brilliant for routine work and minor repairs, but specialised or complicated jobs might be better off elsewhere.

Pros

  • Clean and organised space
  • Honest and patient staff
  • Clear communication
  • Demonstrate repairs
  • Weekend hours
  • Flexible

Cons

  • Not ideal for complex or specialised repairs

Whenever I need it, I will visit this place

“Excellent place, people who are always willing to solve the problem you have with your motorcycle. In my case, I took my GSXR 600 to change tyres. They also solved a problem with the radiator fan. I always leave grateful to the people who work here. The price is fair, and they do an excellent job. Whenever I need it, I will visit this place without a doubt. Thank you very much, guys, for your help.”

Great experience overall!

“Got my oil change done on my Royal Enfield Meteor 350 for $150. The staff was friendly, and the garage is beautifully set up. I really appreciated being able to watch them work on my bike. Plus, they’re open on Saturdays, which was super convenient. Great experience overall!”

If taking your bike to a shop is so inconvenient for you, True Grit Moto is here to change that.

Richelle, the one behind the operation, brings a mobile motorcycle repair service right to your doorstep.

It’s fully equipped and ready to tackle everything from oil changes to full inspections. And she brings her dog, Lu, so you get a sidekick bonus while your bike gets pampered.

Based on what we’ve heard from clients, Richelle is very knowledgeable and doesn’t treat you like a clueless rider.

She explains what she’s doing, gives you options, and makes sure you understand the reason behind every fix.

We also loved how Richelle arrives on time and is not pushy. If something doesn’t need fixing, she tells you. If there’s a choice to make, she lays out the options and lets you decide.

You have to remember, though, her prices are inconsistent. It varies, especially if she has to travel a bit farther.

Pros

  • Convenient mobile service
  • Fully equipped
  • Knowledgeable and clear
  • Offers options without pressure
  • Punctual and professional
  • Cute dogs

Cons

  • Inconsistent pricing

Communication was impeccable

“Richelle came over for an oil change and overall inspection, and maintenance. Communication was impeccable, and it was really easy to set up an appointment. I wanted to learn a bit more about the maintenance on my bike, so she took the time to walk me through all the steps of the inspection and oil change…”

She got everything checked out, and my ride is running smoothly in no time

“Richelle was amazing and super quick. Had her do maintenance and a tune-up on my old Honda CB900C that had sat for more than a year. She got everything checked out, and my ride is running smoothly in no time…”

Daytona Motorsports has been around for over twenty years, which in motorcycle terms is basically a lifetime. With this experience, we just had to check them out.

Our team noticed that this isn’t a shop that just changes oil and tightens bolts. The crew here actually love working on bikes.

Their main focus is KTM, Suzuki, and Yamaha, especially sports and performance models. But they’re just as comfortable handling other Japanese brands too.

What’s impressive here is that they’re not just a workshop, but it’s also a dealership. So if a part fails or wears out, there’s no waiting on third-party suppliers.

They have direct access to genuine parts for the brands they represent, which means repairs tend to be quicker and more reliable.

When we talked to customers, we found out that these guys can handle tricky mechanical problems.

One customer shared how the team fixed a stripped motor mount—a job that would stump most shops. But the team fixed it in under an hour.

However, not everyone’s experience was smooth. A few riders mentioned being unhappy with quotes or misdiagnosed problems.

Pros

  • Experienced team
  • Specialised expertise in sport and performance models
  • Dealership advantage
  • Less waiting time
  • Fewer compatibility issues
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Cons

  • Occasional reports about inaccurate quotes
  • Occasional reports about misdiagnosed problems

They took care of it right away

“My motorcycle broke down unexpectedly, but they took care of it right away!!!

There’s an excellent mechanic working here, and thanks to him, I was able to make it in time for my weekend touring. I’m truly grateful—thank you so much!!!”

His old school customer service is great for me to deal with. I recommend Fenton and appreciate the staff for friendly service, even while times are becoming crazy busy…”

Black and Gold Motocycles is run by Jeff and Kerry, and they seem to have nailed the perfect mix of skill and friendliness.

They’d really talk to you about what’s going on with your bike. Customers rave about how Jeff gets right to the point, fixes what needs fixing, and doesn’t try to sell them stuff they don’t need.

One rider shared dropping off his bike in the afternoon and getting a call that same evening saying it was ready.

That seems to be the rhythm of this shop: fast, efficient, and deeply human.

There’s also consistent praise for their communication and turnaround time. Even in a crowded workshop, they find a way to stay in touch with quick emails or updates.

Now, if we’re nitpicking, the website could use a little love. It doesn’t really list what services they offer.

For new riders or anyone trying to figure out whether they handle a specific type of repair, that could be a bit of a hurdle.

You can always contact them for consultation, though, but it might take a while.

Pros

  • Friendly and approachable service
  • Honest and straightforward
  • Quick turnaround
  • Great communication
  • Fair pricing
  • Skilled and efficient

Cons

  • No listed services on website

Everything is two thumbs up

“Well, I was told by a friend I should get my new-to-me bike serviced here… I walked in, met Jeff, and he did a quick cursory look at the bike, making a few minor adjustments, then scheduled me for a more complete service. Before that could happen, I discovered a fuel check valve leak, and rather than sideline me until my appointment, he encouraged me to drop by, he’d fix the valve, and I’d be able to ride again until my appointment. So far, everything is two thumbs up with this guy!”

If you care about your bike, bring it to Black & Gold

“Jeff is a master at his craft and a pure professional. Open and honest right from the get-go, kept me in the loop the entire time and was able to stay under my budget. The work he does speaks for itself, and I won’t ever take my bike anywhere else again. If you care about your bike, bring it to Black & Gold.”

5. Trev Deeley Motorcycles

  • Saturday: 8:30 AM – 5 PM

We were very impressed with Trev Deeley Motorcycles because their crew is made up of Harley-certified technicians.

They’ve gone through some serious training, including the Red Seal Program and Harley’s own technical program. This turns mechanics into full-blown Master Technicians. We sensed that every repair here is done methodically, not rushed.

What we appreciated most, though, was the way customers described their experience with the staff.

Riders talk about being kept in the loop every step of the way—no radio silence, no mystery charges, just clear updates and solid communication.

Then there’s the quality of the work itself. Most of the bikes repaired were smoother than ever. Some even shared stories of emergency repairs being handled on the spot.

However, we noticed that they’re a bit picky about what they’ll work on. During the main riding season, it’s 2010 or newer Harleys only, and in the off-season, they’ll stretch back to 2000.

So if you’re rocking an older classic, you might have to wait until winter or look elsewhere.

Pros

  • Highly trained technicians
  • Quality workmanship
  • Strong communication
  • Quick and flexible in emergencies
  • Professional approach

Cons

  • Less flexibility for non-Harley owners
  • Potential wait times for older bikes

Communication through the process was excellent!

“Braeden and team in service department once again delivered excellent service and a quick turn around on a small warranty issue. My CVO was picked up same day of issue. and delivered 5 days later repaired, and cleaned & detailed. Communication through the process was excellent!”

He executed the required tasks on my bike with precision and expertise

“…One standout aspect of my experience was with the remarkable service technician, Jeff Morris, whom I unfortunately didn’t have the chance to meet in person. However, despite not meeting face-to-face, Jeff’s passion for motorcycles and dedication to his work were unmistakable. He executed the required tasks on my bike with precision and expertise, going the extra mile to ensure that I felt completely at ease with the condition of my bike when it left the shop…”
