We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Advanced Diagnostic Technology: We prioritized facilities utilizing sophisticated instruments like infrared video goggles for eye-tracking and immersive virtual reality systems.

These tools are crucial for accurately measuring your equilibrium and tracking recovery progress over time.

Specialized Certification: Our evaluation focused on care centers where the staff actively maintain advanced post-graduate credentials in Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT).

This ensures that the practitioners handling your care possess deep, specific expertise in neuro-rehabilitation.

Multidisciplinary Integration: We examined how well each facility coordinates with external specialists, such as neuro-optometrists and otolaryngologists, to manage complex inner-ear issues.

A collaborative clinical approach guarantees that all underlying organic pathologies are thoroughly addressed.

Patient Outcome Measurement: It was important to select providers who utilize data-driven systems to quantify your specific balance deficits accurately.

By relying on objective numbers rather than subjective guesses, these centers can precisely monitor your healing journey.

Wait Times & Accessibility: Given how disruptive severe vertigo can be, we analyzed booking availability across the region to help you find prompt relief.

We looked specifically for health centers capable of scheduling thorough assessments within 24 to 48 hours for acute cases.

Living with persistent dizziness or spinning sensations can make everyday activities feel completely overwhelming.

I understand how frustrating it is when the world simply won’t stay still. That’s why I took a deep dive into researching the best vestibular & balance clinics in Vancouver.

By looking at facilities that offer a multidisciplinary approach with specialized physiotherapists and ear, nose, and throat specialists, I aim to help you find the targeted care you need to regain your stability.

How much does it cost to go to a vestibular & balance clinic in Vancouver?

In Vancouver, you can expect to pay between $120 and $180 CAD for an initial vestibular evaluation, while subsequent follow-up treatments generally range from $90 to $150 CAD.

Address: 1245 West Broadway #106

Contact: 778-800-2289

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00AM–5:00PM

StabilityLAB delivers an exceptionally advanced clinical approach to severe equilibrium issues.

They’re the exclusive Canadian provider of the Bertec Computerized Dynamic Posturography system, which uses immersive virtual reality to objectively measure your function instead of relying on subjective feedback.

Treatment-wise, they strictly follow the peer-reviewed DaVID protocol, ensuring that you receive evidence-based regimens grounded in published research rather than standard physical therapy methods.

They also use Computerized Vestibular Retraining Therapy (CVRT) to track your progress and employ real-time biofeedback.

We like that you can completely bypass the typical medical waiting game because they don’t require a doctor’s referral to initiate recovery.

The only minor drawback is that their highly specialized neuro-technology is not covered under the standard Medical Services Plan, so you’ll need to utilize extended health benefits.

Pros

  • Routinely offers appointments within 24 hours
  • Numerically tracks specific treatment outcomes
  • Utilizes advanced diagnostic eye-movement equipment
  • Integrates multiple clinical experts efficiently

Cons

  • Excluded from standard public health insurance coverage

After dealing with persistent dizziness and imbalance that no one seemed to have answers for, I came across Dr. David while searching for specialists and decided to make an appointment. He quickly identified an overlooked concussion and started me on a tailored treatment plan. I’m not fully recovered yet, but I’m making steady progress and feeling more stable and confident every day.

After a sudden concussion from a sports injury, I was left with persistent dizziness and balance problems. Daily tasks felt daunting, and I wasn’t sure how long it would take to improve. StabilityLAB evaluated my condition carefully and created a personalized treatment plan. I’m still recovering, but I’m noticing steady progress and starting to feel more in control of my movements.

Navigating severe inner-ear issues often requires clinical precision, which is exactly what the Audio-Vestibular Diagnostic Clinic provides.

They operate within a major teaching hospital setting and integrate research-backed methodologies, guaranteeing that patients benefit from highly advanced approaches to hearing and equilibrium management.

A relative of mine recently sought help here, and it was deeply reassuring to see their care administered strictly by highly credentialed audiologists rather than general therapists.

They even have specialists trained to physically maneuver individuals to treat Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) directly.

We were especially impressed with their top-tier diagnostic suite, which conducts thorough evaluations using techniques like the Video Head Impulse Test (vHIT) that are rarely found in standard community facilities.

However, it is important to note that you can’t book an appointment independently; you must secure a formal referral from an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) specialist first.

Pros

  • Provides around-the-clock language interpretation
  • Offers dedicated care for Indigenous families
  • Equipped for severe multifaceted inner-ear disorders
  • Utilizes precise eye movement tracking

Cons

  • Requires a formal specialist referral to book
  • Lacks ongoing rehab for non-BPPV conditions

Today I had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Érica. Not only was I impressed by her techniques and knowledge, but also by her wonderful human warmth and kindness. In my opinion, this is a fundamental factor for quality healthcare, especially when one is facing a health issue. I fully recommend her services.

I recently visited Erica at her clinic to find a potential problem to balance issues I was having.  Erica is a most pleasant person, a good listener and very easy to have good dialogue with.  After a short discussion, she understood my problem and performed many tests, including a full hearing test, to determine a solution.  She explained each test in layman’s terms.  She was very thorough.  It was a very enjoyable visit.  I can certainly recommend Erica should you have hearing, balance or dizziness issues.  You won’t be disappointed!

LEgacies Health Centre excels at providing targeted injury rehabilitation. Their specialized physiotherapists implement custom motion regimens specifically designed to retrain neural pathways, working actively to eliminate feelings of unsteadiness.

You can directly access these treatments without waiting for prior clearance from your family physician, which makes it incredibly convenient to get started on your recovery.

This clinic has a multidisciplinary care model, which means that multiple practitioners collaborate on complex cases to treat your entire system holistically.

If you also need to see a chiropractor in Vancouver, you can easily access complementary treatments under the same roof.

The only catch is that before initiating any hands-on relief, you must sit through a lengthy baseline assessment, which briefly delays the start of your actual physical therapy.

Pros

  • Drastically accelerates injury healing timelines
  • Easy access to alternative therapeutic modalities
  • Highly flexible scheduling across multiple locations
  • Processes payments directly with major health providers

Cons

  • Requires a lengthy baseline clinical assessment
  • Prohibits jumping straight into hands-on therapy

I had a cycling accident and went here for my initial assessment and care. I was very impressed with the systems, staff, and doctor. Over the last month I’ve progressed well and would highly recommend this health centre.

Dr. Makh is reassuringly clear-spoken, knowledgeable and competent, and the front staff are kind, professional, and helpful. I’ve never had difficulty scheduling an appointment in a timely manner, and have always left feeling better than I entered 🙂

Treloar Physiotherapy Clinic leverages four decades of operational history in the region, boasting deep community roots that can offer peace of mind.

Their therapists conduct a highly comprehensive clinical assessment, specifically evaluating specialized metrics like motion sensitivity rather than relying on basic tests.

When I spoke with a local senior focused on fall prevention, she praised how their multifaceted treatment plans expertly blend habituation exercises with gaze stability training.

The clinic offers two distinct time lengths for your initial evaluation to accommodate different symptom severities. They also demonstrate strong compassion by waiving standard penalty fees if you must miss a session due to sudden sickness.

Just keep in mind that if you have a Monday appointment, you face a highly restrictive Saturday afternoon deadline to cancel without incurring steep financial penalties.

Pros

  • Seamlessly transitions in-person visits to telehealth
  • Targets overwhelming sensitivity to bright stimuli
  • Coordinates direct billing with extended benefit providers
  • Waives standard penalty fees for sudden sickness

Cons

  • Imposes strict weekend cancellation cutoffs
  • Charges steep penalties for late schedule modifications

I was involved in a terrible high speed accident two years ago. I started coming to Treloar also since 2 years ago. It’s absolutely an amazing team. I’m seeing Serena for Pilates, Kosta for Vestibular, Hayati for Yoga, Victor for Active Rehab, Sarah for Pelvic Floor. I really appreciate their great help in my recovery journey. Without them, no doubt, I wouldn’t recover to my current stage.

Kosta is a very experienced vestibular physiotherapist. His amazing background impressed me. He graduated from the world top university UCL in England. He worked with different well-known sports teams. He worked in top hospitals. So, I trust him.

He does do very well. He is very knowledgeable and smart. He can always find the key point and the right solution of every problem. He also helped me a lot on calming my nerve system down from emergency mode. He’s very optimistic and professional. I have a lot of pleasant experiences in his session.

Address: 1677 E Broadway

Contact: (778) 761-1993

Addressing both spinal discomfort and equilibrium issues simultaneously, Physiomed Vancouver & Spinal Decompression offers an impressive suite of exclusive treatment technology.

They utilize patented medical devices specifically designed to non-invasively target severe disc issues like degenerative disc disease.

Beyond spinal care, they also feature highly targeted vestibular retraining protocols that structurally reprogram the inner ear to restore a steady sense of balance.

Treatments here tend to run short thanks to on-site imaging that significantly accelerates the treatment timeline. You get highly accurate care planning without the hassle of external referrals.

Plus, with a diverse team of integrated health practitioners under one roof, consulting an osteopath in Vancouver alongside your balance therapy is incredibly seamless.

Unfortunately, if you’re driving to your appointments, finding a parking spot can be quite frustrating.

Pros

  • Offers access to diverse integrated health practitioners
  • Uses objective data-driven diagnostic methods
  • Provides proactive strategies for long-term injury prevention
  • Accommodates busy lifestyles with expansive operational hours

Cons

  • Frustrating parking issues
  • Completely shuts down operations on Sundays

Dr. Suhill Samji accepted me without an appointment because I suffered a lot. Already after the first visit passed the pain of the shoulder and hand, headaches, I regained the feeling in my hands and gradually regained balance and it was the first night for a long time, when I slept well. With each therapy I felt only better.

I still use therapy because I found that it serves me better than other therapies. The massage I use in the same place also helps me. Thanks to this place, I regained my desire for life and fitness.

I definitely recommend the clinic. They are extremely easy to locate being directly across from the train station. The costs are very reasonable, especially when comparing to other physio clinics around the area and they are able to direct bill insurance. I will definitely be recommending Aamir for any kind of vestibular rehabilitation, he really knows what he’s doing and cares about your outcome.
