Gem Gurus: Top 5 Jewelers in Vancouver

Gem Gurus Top 5 Jewelers in Vancouver
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Jewels have always captivated humanity for centuries. In fact, archaeologists found out that jewels were already worn by our ancestors for as long as 150,000 years ago (Artnet).

Nowadays, buying ready-to-wear jewellery is easy, but getting an exquisite, custom-made one is still tricky. For the finest jewels in Vancouver, check out these amazing jewelers in the city!

How much do jewels in Vancouver cost on average?

On average, the price for jewels in Vancouver is $70.09 per gram for 24k gold and $1,250 for small diamonds (0.5k). Please take note that the price may vary depending on the jeweler.

How We Chose

Variety of jewels – We prefer jewelers who can provide a wide range of jewels made with materials like gold, diamonds, and pearls.
Credentials and expertise – We also chose those who have more than a year of experience as professional jewelers and have certifications like Certified Bench Jeweler and Certified Gemologist Appraiser.
Customer service – We prefer those who treat their customers with respect and respond honestly to any enquiries. We also checked whether they respond quickly to calls and emails.
Accessibility – We looked at whether they are near major roads and public transit stations and whether they are open for business on most days of the week.
Price fairness – We also considered whether their prices are fair considering the rarity of their gemstones and the quality of their custom-made jewels.

They helped me find exactly what I wanted for the price I wanted to pay

“Engagement ring shopping was pretty intimidating, but Harlings staff took the time to educate me, never rushed a decision, and made sure all my questions were answered to my satisfaction. I don’t feel like they sold me anything but rather they helped me find exactly what I wanted for the price I wanted to pay. Shout out to Christian. You guys rock. Hope I only need one of these rings ever but I will recommend”

Created the most unique ring of my dreams

“We had an amazing experience working with Arturo at Rodan Jewellers. Together we created the most unique ring of my dreams. I’m sure Arturo will remember my ring and me for the in-numerous questions I asked him in the process. Thank you for your patience Arturo, you made me feel comfortable. Thanks to the design team for bringing my vision to life from the day of drawing it on a piece of paper to the wax models to the final product and with a quick turnaround time. I enjoyed creating my engagement ring with you. ❤️❤️❤️”

Look no further for a jeweller

“Mitch made my engagement ring from a family heirloom. He is the best! look no further for a jeweller. He worked with me to discover what I wanted, and my partner so the final product was still a surprise. Not only was it gorgeous and exactly my style, Mitch even incorporated the activities I love and do with my partner into the ring. There is a tiny BICYCLE on my ring. Like how is that even possible? This store is amazing. Lastly they are having a sale this week. Check them out 🤩”

10/10 service and craftsmanship!

“10/10 service and craftsmanship! I’ve worked with several jewellers in and out of Vancouver, and Grimson & Sons is the best I’ve worked with in Vancouver.

I needed a simple cleaning and resizing, and their Master Goldsmith David French provided the services in 30 mins while I was at their studio. I’m very happy with the quality of work (in the past, other jewellers messed up even just a simple resizing), and even happier with how welcoming and friendly David and Erica are. No pretentious jeweller vibes here! Also, their little dog Tinker has completely stolen my heart 🙂

Highly recommend to anyone in the Vancouver area!”

Genuine people that take a keen interest in your goals

“Simply impressive!

The entire team at Grimson & Sons (including their adorable mini-guard dog, Tink) are not only professionals and masters of their craft, but genuine people that take a keen interest in your goals.

My fiancée and I did A LOT of research and consultations, and David and his team were the clear choice. We were looking to redesign family heirlooms for our suite of wedding/engagement bling, so working with a jeweler who had the skills to work with heirloom pieces confidently was important to us. Of all the jewelers we visited (5), David was the only business owner who could assess our existing rings, goldsmith our new rings, and provide us with a reasonable quote for our vision on the spot. The moment we shook David’s hands and noticed the signs that he clearly gets them dirty (aka actually works with the jewellery) we were sold.

We are thrilled with how our custom pieces turned out, and cannot wait until we can go back to visit their lovely workshop next. Working with David and his team has truly been a highlight of our wedding planning experience – Thank you!!

Do yourself the favour and see their team for any of your jewellery needs, you will be in safe hands.”

Knows their craft so well and designs the most unique pieces

“Love Kingdom!! Natasha, Dylan and the entire Kingdom team are amazing and so talented. We got our wedding bands made there, and we both love them so much. I had an old necklace from my grandma, and I worked closely with Natasha to have the entire thing redesigned based on my preferences and budget. It’s one of my favourite daily pieces now!

The Kingdom team knows their craft so well and designs the most unique pieces. Plus they are always so kind whenever I visit just to try on items for fun 🙂 🙂 Highly recommend stopping by!”

Very unique and interesting pieces can be found here

“Small but interesting jewelry shop. The owners/operators are always travelling to find the next new thing to craft for their jewelry store. Very unique and interesting pieces can be found here.

There’s a small selection of men’s rings, but we were able to find something that we both loved as our wedding bands.

Also, there are two cute and friendly small dogs that welcome you when you walk in. This made the experience 5 stars!”
