We also really appreciate their multilingual customer service team. Some customers said they made the worry of residing abroad less stressful.
Plus, they provide friendly follow-ups and 24/7 helpful support to all of their clients.
We also think their Stay+ program adds value to renting with them. We like that they offer free nights along with tons of perks and rewards.
They take care of all the little details that matter too, including pet-friendly options, housekeeping, and laundry.
The only minor observation we made is that their rent prices are expensive, making them unsuitable for people looking for budget rental homes.

Dexter’s biggest selling point is that they are a true one-stop shop for landlords and tenants. We love that every step is taken care of, from procuring tenants to managing properties.
Since they specialize in the Westside and North Shore of Vancouver, we found they knew those markets well. This was evident in their rental rate recommendations and tenant screening process.
Many clients also said the team makes the rental application process. Everything is online and simple, saving everyone time.
We also like the range of furnished and unfurnished rentals on their website. It’s easy to search and skip through homes until you find one you like.
The landlords we spoke to liked that through Dexter, they could have Empty Home Management and regular property inspections.
As for the renters we talked to, many loved the 24/7 emergency service because it gives them peace of mind knowing they can get help at any time.
Some tenants did mention, though, that when scheduling home viewings, there was some lag in communication.

Make Yourself At Home’s agents visit each property themselves and write descriptive and honest descriptions about each place. This gives renters a genuine idea about each home.
Whether relocating or searching for a vacation rental, we love that they have a range of options.
We also really found their booking process fair. There are no booking fees, and damage and pet deposits are fully refundable.
Many of their furnished units include bed linens, towels, and fully equipped kitchens. Plus, most include cable television and internet to allow you to genuinely “move in” and feel at home from day one.
One renter enjoyed the quieter, more spacious garden suite Make Yourself At Home offered. Many also said the company offers much cheaper spaces than downtown landlords, yet the aesthetic feels comparable.
The biggest disadvantage is that parking availability for their rental homes varies significantly by location. Some have underground parking if it’s downtown, while other areas will usually have street parking.

We also love their entire tenant screening process. Property owners appreciate that they don’t just take anyone. They do reference checks and complete showings, which ease the pain for landlords.
Another thing they do well is marketing. They provide excellent photography of the property for their online listing. They use social media to target renters with ads showcasing the rental home’s attractiveness.
Renters also love how easy it is to find fully furnished condos at a market price that can’t be found anywhere else. Some renters did tell us, though, that the online inventory could be updated faster since it slows down the search process.

What truly sets them apart, though, is their ability to provide both short-term furnished rentals as well as longer-term options.
For example, one renter shared that Vancouver Rental Group’s team was able to assist him in finding a furnished home fit for a two-month stay. They even helped them extend the rental for longer when he needed.
The other great strength and value the team brings to the table is their knowledge of Vancouver’s neighbourhoods. People raved about all the tips and places they were given to check out once they moved into their home.
It’s just a bummer that the rental process can take up to two weeks to be completely settled. If you’re in a rush to find a new home, Vancouver Rental Group may not be the best choice for you.
