Still, finding the perfect, budget-friendly wig can feel like searching for a unicorn. I know because I’ve been there, scrolling endlessly and second-guessing every shop I come across.
But after a whole lot of digging and diligent research, I finally found some hidden gems. If you’re looking for stylish yet affordable wig shops in Vancouver, here’s the cheat sheet I wish I had when I first started looking.
How much does a wig cost in Vancouver?
A wig in Vancouver costs between $200 and $1,000 or even higher. Synthetic wigs generally cost around $200, human wigs from $250 to $1,000, and handmade wigs for over $2,000.

I really appreciate that Jo Hair Studio is open daily, including Sundays. That’s a huge help for someone like me who can’t make weekday appointments because of work.
According to their longtime clients that I interviewed, the staff in the shop are very compassionate towards people suffering from hair loss. They appreciated how the staff treated them with dignity and didn’t make them feel insecure about their situation.
The wigs are also impressive. They’re made from high-quality, real European hair, which gives the wearer very natural-looking hair.
What’s even more impressive is how customisable the wigs are. You can adjust the length, change the colour, and perm the wig if you want.
Aside from wigs, they also offer different colours of toppers. There are dark, light, and even salt and pepper ones.
The only downside is that they charge $50 for an in-person consultation. Still, it’s worth it for their exceptional customer service and wig quality.

“May 31/25, my Aunt had an appointment here to get a consult on a topper. (She bought one). The patience, and compassion the staff have, (Eryn) is extraordinary. The price is costly, however, the way the clients faces light up, giving them a pep in their step and more confidence about their outwardly appearance, is worth every single penny. Eva & Co Wigs has been providing wigs to men and women for over 50 years, which I find impressive. You don’t stay in business that long unless people actually trust your products.
I love that they offer a free in-person consultation. This allowed me to assess the quality of their wigs without spending a single dollar.
The wig selection is also impressive. They offer wigs with real human hair, synthetic, or a combination of both. I personally liked having the flexibility to explore different types based on style and price.
The staff members were kind and patient too during the consultation, which I really appreciate. They let me try on several wigs and even gave helpful information about each one.
However, it seems like not everyone had a similar experience with staff. Some of their customers said they felt that the staff weren’t enthusiastic about dealing with them.
No other company even comes close!

I love All Class Beauty’s easy-to-use glueless wigs. They’re designed to be easily installed and removed without the need for adhesives, making them a convenient option.
For fashionistas, they offer real human hair and synthetic braids, allowing you to achieve the unique hairstyle you want. They have twist braids, box braids, and more.
For those who want to add length, volume, and thickness to their natural hair, I highly recommend their weft hair extensions. They offer them in bundles and have straight, wavy, and even curly styles.
Aside from wigs, I appreciate that they offer free shipping throughout Canada for orders above $1,000. Not everyone will hit that amount, but if you’re buying a full set or stocking up, it’s a nice bonus.
I also want to shout out the shop’s staff. During my visit, they perfectly chose the hair extension that matches my hair colour. You can’t even tell that I wear extensions!
That said, all purchases on their shop are final and cannot be refunded or exchanged for another piece. If something feels off after a few days, there’s not much you can do.

I came in just to buy some bonnets and I left with the best hair extensions! I’d given up trying to find extensions for my hair type till now, they are truly perfect. The colour and texture are indistinguishable from my real hair, like wow 🤯😍 also SUPER affordable for human hair!!! The staff are so kind and knowledgeable. The place to go to for wigs
“What a lovely job Agnes did on my first time faux locs. They lasted quite some time, I got many compliments, and she was extremely fast and professional at putting them in. She cornrowed and put in the locs in about 1 hour. Never has someone done it so fast, and with such care to ensure they lasted long. This is definitely the place to go to for everything involving wigs, braids, and locs in the city.”

Wig Wonders’ free in-person consultation is such a huge help to customers who aren’t sure yet of what to get. Even when you already know what you want, it’s easier to explain what you need in person than via a call.
The staff are also very helpful and informative, making the in-person consultations much more worthwhile. They tried their best to provide complete information to help me understand things, such as the benefits of their wig care products.
Plus, the shop is open every day, so you can always drop by for a visit and consultation when you’re free.
When it comes to wigs, they offer a wide selection of human hair and synthetic wigs. What’s even better is that they can customise your wig, whether you purchase a real or a synthetic one.
However, they charge a wig fitting fee. You need to pay $5 to try on three wigs.

“Very good service and the prices are very good too…I went in with my mother who hasn’t worn a wig since the 1960s but is now losing her hair to age. We were both reluctant to shop online as we didn’t know exactly what she wanted or what to look for. The staff were amazing at putting her at ease and answered all our questions. The $5 fee was reasonable as we had no idea how to even put one on, and was given a receipt so when we come back and make a purchase it can be deducted from the price.”

True to their business name, Pacific Hair Loss Solutions specialises in hair loss solutions. All their products are designed to help customers regain confidence.
The Remy human hair wigs and toppers they offer are the highlight of my visit. They give a very natural feeling to their wearer, last longer, and require less maintenance than chemically processed hairs.
Apart from wigs and toppers, they also sell a range of semi-permanent and clip-in hair extensions. These are great options for people with hair that doesn’t grow past a certain length.
When it comes to communication, I appreciate them for responding to my emails in a very timely manner. Not only that, they were also very communicative during my visit. They never got irritated by the many questions I’ve had.
The only disadvantage they have compared to other shops is that they don’t offer refunds. This can discourage some from availing of their wigs.
