We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Fabric Selection: We looked at the variety and quality of fabrics available in each shop. Those with a wide range of textures, weights, colours, and patterns scored higher.

Craftsmanship: We assessed the master tailor’s attention to detail in stitching, finishing, and tailoring.

Turnaround Time: We checked how long it takes from placing an order to receiving the finished suit. They must be efficient in measurements, fittings, and alterations.

Customer Service: We evaluated the friendliness, knowledge, and helpfulness of staff.

For men, a suit isn’t just clothing; it’s a statement. From weddings to formal events, a good suit shows you mean business. If you’re going to invest, it should be one that’s truly made for you.

We did the legwork, tried on the threads, and scoped out the top spots so you don’t have to. Our team offers you our list of the best men’s wear and custom suit shops in Vancouver.

We made sure you’ll get the quality, style, and a great fit without the guesswork with these shops!

He really cares about getting it right

“Honestly, Justin was awesome. I’d never bought a proper suit before, and he made the whole thing super easy. He explained everything, answered all my questions, and actually let me pick what I liked instead of pushing anything. You can tell he really knows his stuff and cares about getting it right. The coolest part was the custom world map lining inside my suit – that was the big sell for me, and everyone at the weddings I went to this summer was so impressed. I got nonstop compliments.”

The best customer service experience I have ever had

“Zach Pagani helped me build my wedding tux and it might be the best customer service experience I have ever had. Off the get go, Zach was professional, provided honest advice, and did not pressure me one bit. He made me feel like he was on my side every step of the way, and genuinely wanted me to look as best as I could on my wedding day. After purchase, we continued to do multiple refinements and fittings of the tuxedo. Zach made sure the tailor was in during my final appointment, to ensure that we had her direct feedback.”

In a crowded menswear scene, The Sartorial Shop stands out as a high-end bespoke suit provider in Vancouver.

Zahir Rajani leads the atelier. He’s heavily influenced by Florentine tailoring. That generally means a sharper silhouette and a more sculpted look through the waist and chest.

From what we gathered, they do a detailed measurement session, including over 30 measurements and posture notes.

Their offerings cover most of what a well-dressed wardrobe would need: business suits, tuxedos, wedding suits, and overcoats.

They also promote a large library of luxury fabrics. They feature mills like Ermenegildo Zegna, Loro Piana, Scabal, and more.

A lot of clients loved how Rajani educated them. One groom shared that he walked through fabric composition, weave structure, and weight to choose something suitable for a Caribbean wedding climate.

When it comes to personalisation, we think this shop a great. Rajani would even highlight subtle details or finishing touches that clients might not have considered themselves.

Their prices are on the premium side, but we think it’s worth it.

Pros

  • True bespoke approach
  • Highly personalised consultation process
  • Exceptional fabric selection
  • Strong design guidance
  • Great communication
  • Wide range of custom pieces

Cons

  • Premium pricing

You can tell he truly knows his craft

“I had an excellent experience with The Sartorial Shop – Bespoke & Custom Suits Vancouver. I got two suits, one dinner jacket, and two shirts made here for my wedding, and the entire process was smooth and enjoyable. Zahir was absolutely outstanding with his customer service. He helped me choose the right colors and fabrics within my budget and guided me through getting a fully canvassed bespoke suit, explaining everything in detail. His knowledge of tailoring, fit, and style is exceptional, and you can tell he truly knows his craft.”

The end product was beyond my expectations

“I had an absolutely wonderful experience with  Zahir, who was able to accommodate an embarrassingly short timeline. He made the process relaxed, thoughtful and joyous, and the end product was beyond my expectations. He made scheduling easy, and made alterations happen in a timeline that I couldn’t even fathom. I cannot recommend highly enough. My only feedback is that he works too hard and needs to get some rest!”

3. Bespoke Made Suits

Bespoke Made Suits’ approach is personalised and convenient. Instead of running a studio where clients drop by, they bring the tailoring experience directly to you.

Their mobile model covers Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond and the broader Lower Mainland. This means consultations often happen in someone’s home or office.

Clients also mentioned a slower and in-depth consultation process. They’d go through fabric swatches, colours, textures, and lining options.

The team would also draft patterns around the client’s build, posture, and style preferences.

Higher-end commissions often feature cloth from well-known Italian mills like Loro Piana and Drapers.

It’s also great to hear that they consider Vancouver’s damp and unpredictable climate when recommending fabrics.

Usually, they focus on breathable materials that drape well and stay comfortable in changing weather.

Their team is prompt, professional, and very helpful. They’re also technically great. We’ve heard of a story about a suit that had to be adjusted for a barrel-chested build and did well.

That said, they won’t suit everyone. They operate by appointment only and don’t allow walk-ins.

Pros

  • Convenient mobile tailoring service
  • Highly personalised consultations
  • Focus on fit and pattern adjustments
  • Premium fabric selection
  • Styling guidance
  • Long-term client relationships

Cons

  • No walk-ins
  • Limited traditional showroom experience

The fit was incredibly flattering, comfortable, and tailored perfectly

“We worked with Bespoke Made Suits to create a custom suit for my boyfriend for his sister’s wedding, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. He has a shorter, stockier build, which can make finding a well-fitting suit really challenging, but they absolutely nailed it. The fit was incredibly flattering, comfortable, and tailored perfectly to his proportions. Adam took the time to understand what would work best for his body type and the occasion, and the result looked sharp, polished, and confident.”

Ainsley Chen, Google review

The process is seamless

“I’ve gotten a few suits made for my partner from Bespoke. We worked with Adam each time and he was always friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. The process is seamless and I am astonished by the outcome every single time. Each piece we’ve had made has been consistently crafted with precision and the quality shows not only in the fabrics but also down to the seams. We are very happy with our experiences so far and will gladly recommend Adam and his team to anyone who needs a suit!”

Senator Bespoke Custom Suits’ team has collectively 15 years of made-to-measure experience.

Their master clothier was trained by major Italian luxury brands. That influence shows up in the way they position their garments.

We were very impressed with their fabric selection. For business suits, worsted wools are the backbone of the offering.

There’s also mohair blends for clients who want sharper structure and a bit of sheen. For higher-end fabrics, they’ve got cashmere and velvet.

Many customers also described the consultation process as highly guided, not transactional.

A hotel professional who had owned many suits over the years said the clothier introduced him to a coffee-brown suit colour he had never considered before. There were other stories where we’ve realised they’re styling experts.

The clothier would even discuss colour combinations and fabrics. They would even provide dress shoes during the fitting to see how the suits worked with the whole outfit.

Shoppers looking for entry-level custom suits on a tight budget might not find them the best pick. Their prices are higher than those of other shops.

Pros

  • Strong fabric selection
  • Great craftsmanship
  • Italian tailoring influence
  • Personalised consultation
  • Styling advice
  • Experienced master clothier

Cons

  • Premium pricing

Very knowledgeable and passionate

“I recently had the opportunity to have Ehsan make suits for myself and my groomsmen for my wedding as well as a suit for my father. Ehsan is an expert in the field and is very knowledgeable and passionate, it was a great experience allowing him to help us pick out the fabrics, colours and styles. We were all very impressed with his knowledge and the suits turned out amazing and are top quality. If you are in need of a suit I highly recommend Ehsan, we got so many compliments on them I will definitely be retuning in the future and recommend everyone come and trust Ehsan!”

Indochino sits in the space between off-the-rack suits and traditional bespoke tailoring. They make custom suits more affordable and easier to get without the long waits or prices clients expect from Vancouver’s best tailors

Their suits are made-to-measure rather than fully bespoke, but the construction is still respectable for the price.

Most jackets are half-canvassed, which generally holds their shape better than cheaper fused suits. There are also small details, like hand-stitched jacket arms and reinforced buttons, that give the suits greater durability.

Style-wise, there’s plenty to play around with. Clients can choose different lapel widths, single or double-breasted jackets, pick stitching, and more.

They offer a fabric range that includes Australian merino wool, linen, and cashmere blends across different tiers (premium and luxury).

Navy suits seem to be a big seller here since they work for weddings, office wear, or formal events.

We also appreciate that most customisation options don’t add extra costs. IT makes it easier to personalise a suit without watching the price climb.

That said, we’ve heard that some customers need a few alteration visits before the fit feels right.

Pros

  • Affordable custom suits
  • Plenty of customisation options
  • Good entry-level construction
  • Wide fabric selection
  • Great options for weddings and groups
  • Helpful styling assistance

Cons

  • Alterations can take multiple visits
  • Short window for remakes or returns

Every detail we discussed was executed exactly as requested

“…I ordered a Luxury Harrogate Black Suit for a wedding and for long-term, everyday use. Both of them were thorough and thoughtful during the measuring process, and they took the time to recommend specifications that actually made sense for my body type while also keeping future body changes in mind. When the suit arrived, it fit perfectly. Every detail we discussed was executed exactly as requested. It’s a beautiful suit, and a huge shoutout to the team for doing their job at an expert level. This is my second suit with them, and I can’t recommend this location highly enough. Kudos for actually listening…”

They made the whole process super easy and comfortable

“My wife and I had a really great experience at the Indochino Vancouver location. Shawn helped us out and made the whole process super easy and comfortable. He was easy to talk to, knew his stuff, and took the time to walk me through all the options without ever making me feel rushed or pressured. He paid attention to the little details and made sure everything fit what I was going for, which I really appreciated. Overall it was a smooth, stress-free experience, and I left feeling confident about my order. If you’re coming here, definitely ask for Shawn! He made a big difference in our overall shopping experience.”
