Your Guide to Vancouver's Late-Night Cocktail Havens

Canadians are known for their party spirit, and Vancouver is no exception. From chic cocktail bars to cozy craft beer joints and vibrant nightclubs that keep the party going, this city is the ultimate destination for nightlife enthusiasts.

If you’re a night owl, you know the struggle of finding places open in the wee hours. That’s why we’ve got you covered with our list of late-night bars in Vancouver!

The Keefer Bar

Location: 135 Keefer St, Vancouver, BC V6A 1X3, Canada

Contact: 604-688-1961

Hours:

  • Sunday to Thursday: 4 PM – 1 AM

As night falls, the Keefer Bar comes alive, drawing crowds of hipsters who fill the bar, spill into the back area, or head to a cozy spot on the outdoor patio.

Here, you’ll encounter two types of people: those who love the edgy ambiance, live music, and creatively crafted cocktails, and those who, while waiting for a table at Bao Bei, a few doors down, find themselves drawn to the Keefer’s vibes.

The Keefer embraces an apothecary theme by drawing on the neighborhood’s historic Chinese pharmacies.

Their drinks menu, aptly named the “List of Remedies and Cures,” has ingredients like strawberry and rhubarb tea, glehnia root, and tinctures infused with cardamom, magnolia bark, and red ginseng.

While large groups may find it challenging to stick together, couples or small parties of four will feel right at home in this dark and stylish bar that opens until early morning on Fridays and Saturdays.

Pro Tip:
The Keefer takes its food seriously too. Their small plates, like the pulled pork and Peking duck tacos as well as the BLT Bao are worth every penny.
