1. ATIC

Website: http://www.atic.ca/

Address: 120 W. Broadway

Contact: 604-875-8859

Hours: Monday – Saturday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

ATIC stands out by supplying a huge range of hardware components for custom builds. You’ll easily find processors, motherboards, and custom desktop cases right on their shelves.

When we stopped by to check out the place, we were in awe at their extensive inventory. Finding specific replacement parts is incredibly fast too, since their staff knows computers really well.

Since they’re a dedicated computer store, they stock essential networking hardware, fast NVMe drives, and mechanical keyboards. They’re fantastic for PC builders since they’ve got pretty much everything in stock.

Sadly, it’s frustrating that they no longer accept CertaPay or online banking transactions due to security issues.

Pros

  • Huge selection of components for custom builds
  • Stocks essential networking equipment
  • Offers fast NVMe storage drives
  • Many essential parts are readily available in-store

Cons

  • No longer accepts CertaPay transactions

Not your average computer outlet

Long-established small store with excellent service. This is not your average Computer Outlet. You have to have some idea of what you want as far as Hardware. This is the place most technicians in Vancouver go. Very competitive prices for motherboards CPUs and graphics cards. The prices are quite stable and they have a reasonable cash discount. If you are a technician or I t professional I highly recommend this small company. They will also custom order hard to find parts if you have the appropriate SKU numbers Etc.

Longtime customer

ATIC is consistently the best price and have the best stock. Line ups can be long but it is a function of their popularity, and for good reason.

The staff know what they are doing and are very helpful. They are geared more toward those who are already familiar with hardware so novices might feel a bit overwhelmed and out of place. If you go in when there isn’t a huge line up, their staff are happy to  walk you through component selection.

I have been shopping there for almost 15 years and am consistently happy.

2. Memory Express

Website: https://www.memoryexpress.com/

Address: 1900 West Broadway

Contact: 778-945-2488

Hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM | Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Sunday, 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Memory Express is on our list for combining system assembly services with a broad stock of gaming laptops, pre-built desktops, and custom liquid cooling setups. Walking into the store gives you access to a massive wall of motherboards and graphics cards.

They also carry an impressive lineup of high-refresh-rate gaming monitors and precision headsets for serious gamers. There are even modern graphics processing units for those looking to upgrade their graphics performance.

You can easily grab everything from basic power supply units to advanced PC enclosures right under one roof.

If you need dedicated repair services, their tech experts diagnose and test hardware directly at the service counter.

However, we highly recommend ordering computer parts in-store, rather than online, as system limitations can occasionally result in products being oversold. You want to save yourself the hassle of cancelled orders and refunds.

Pros

  • Stocks high-performance gaming laptops and pre-built rigs
  • Essential hardware like motherboards and power supplies
  • Supplies fast gaming monitors and precision headsets
  • Offers in-store tech diagnostics and hardware testing

Cons

  • Tendency for oversold products

The best computer store I have dealt with in Canada

This is the best computer store I have dealt with in Canada.  They are upfront, have a very good phone and online customer service model ,and their policies are public and easy to understand.  The Vancouver store has great staff, I recently dealt with Tyler and he was great.  They have a well priced in store warranty which makes any issues easy.  Thanks for running such a good business.  I have also visited their stores in Edmonton and Calgary and both were also great – good company overall.

The best customer service

This Memory Express location has provided me with the best customer service I’ve received in any computer / electronic store in a long time.

Staff is knowledge, quick and polite. I placed multiple back orders with them at no cost and been in contact with them – via phone – for updates on my queue position and been helped every time. There’s also never a wait to get in the store because they actually properly staff their store, unlike Canada Computers.

They service all major brands too, providing OEM-quality repairs for residential and enterprise clients.

Particularly, they’re a highly reliable choice for tough tech issues since they provide both in-store and on-site assistance tailored to your needs.

But you should note that if you cancel a liquid damage or motherboard repair, you must pay a mandatory $59 diagnostic fee.

Pros

  • Offers managed IT services for local businesses
  • Provides OEM-quality hardware repairs for major brands
  • Stocks refurbished laptops and custom desktop setups
  • Delivers professional in-store and on-site network support

Cons

Highly recommend

I received the repaired computer! Ari was very friendly and professional! I highly recommend. There is a 90-day after-sales service if any problem occurs. If there are any problems with your computer, this store will help you solve them.

Good service

They fixed my computer very quickly, the comunication was great all the time, they are very responsable with the computers that are left in the store, also they have a very organized and profesional archive of custumers, their belongings, and their needs. They are very kind and atentive, I definitely recomend it!!

Contact: 778-383-7408

Hours: Monday – Saturday, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM | Sunday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Open seven days a week, Canada Computers operates as a massive retail outlet supplying pre-built gaming rigs, smart home electronics, and core PC components.

This computer store stocks a massive variety of processors, modern graphics cards, and sleek desktop cases. You can also pick up audio gear, headsets, and basic office displays.

Their broad range of pre-built workstations fits multiple price points perfectly. They truly cater to both casual users and serious PC builders.

Unfortunately, traffic around their West Broadway location is historically heavy and prone to delays due to infrastructure work. Before visiting, make sure you plan your commute and try to avoid peak hours.

Pros

  • Supplies pre-built gaming rigs and productivity laptops
  • Features smart home electronics and home audio equipment
  • Stocks core PC components like motherboards and processors
  • Offers a wide variety of office and gaming monitors

Cons

  • Surrounding traffic is often heavily congested

Very helpful staff

Great selection of computer components and accessories. The staff are very helpful, efficient, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Good deals are offered quite often. Before you spend your money at Amazon, check these guys out and keep it local. The website is great as well. Free parking behind the store.

Great experience

I had a great experience at Canada Computers. Alex helped us a lot during the first day, and when we had to return the next day – due to an error on our end, measured the length of Ethernet we needed wrong – Bronson was a great help at doing our exchange! Great knowledge on computer components and a decent selection as well ranging from cases, peripherals, etc although graphics cards are solely online only. You can order for store pickup though from what I gather. Thanks a lot!

5. VCV Computers

Website: https://www.vcv.ca/

Address: 1686 East 12th Ave

Contact: 604-251-4737

VCV Computers focuses on commercial enterprise hardware, offering refurbished business laptops, rackmount servers, and networking gear. They specialize in professional-grade workstation parts, perfect for growing local businesses.

They also offer dedicated spyware and virus removal system optimization services to keep office machines healthy. And if you accidentally delete crucial files, their professional data recovery restores your missing hard drive data safely and securely.

Plus, they perform certified motherboard repairs using a professional BGA (Ball Grid Array) rework station, usually finishing within one working day. You can even drop in for quick tablet and cellphone screen repairs without booking an appointment.

On the downside, this computer store primarily handles repair services and enterprise networking rather than selling individual CPU parts for custom gaming rigs.

Pros

  • Focuses on enterprise hardware and refurbished business laptops
  • Uses a professional BGA rework station for motherboard fixes
  • Offers fast data recovery and virus removal services
  • Provides drop-in cellphone and tablet screen repairs

Cons

  • Doesn’t sell individual components

Recommended

I’ve had a repair done, and purchased various items at this store, including a refurbished laptop, and I’ve always had great, very friendly and knowledgeable service. If you have a problem with a computer, they’ll try to fix it right then and there, if possible. I have no hesitation in recommending this place.

Extremely happy that I brought my computer here

This Guy is a magician. The hdmi socket was not working so I thought I needed a new computer but this Guy downloaded a driver for $50 and the computer was up and running like new again. Extremely happy that I brought my computer here. Highly recommend this place.
