I was this close to giving up and just placing some plants when I came across a local used furniture listing on Facebook. It wasn’t just cheaper, it actually looked better than most of the new stuff I’d seen.
That small discovery led me down a rabbit hole of used furniture shops across Vancouver. After a bit of digging, I was able to find a handful of stores that stood out for quality, price, and good customer service.
If you’re looking to style your space without emptying your wallet, these are the used furniture shops in Vancouver I found worth checking out.

Cozy Couch Drops is the store to visit for reasonably priced, good-quality used sofas. When I dropped by, I was genuinely impressed by the variety. They had everything, from used IKEA sofas to sofa beds.
What’s even better is that most people, both online and the ones I spoke to, have favourable comments about the quality of their sofas. Many said they were surprised by how solid the quality was for the price they paid, and how seamless the transaction was.
Delivery seems to be another strong point. One person I spoke to shared that her orders arrived at her home in less than 24 hours, which is pretty remarkable for a store that doesn’t charge premium prices.
Personally, I like how easy it was to book an appointment. They’re flexible with scheduling, making it easy for those with a tight schedule who prefer to visit on a weekend.
The only drawback is that they exclusively sell sofas. So if you’re hoping to furnish an entire room, this isn’t the best shop for you.

Quick to reply to any questions as well. Stephen had set up three sofas for us to view and compare when we got there, which was convenient. The one we chose was delivered the next morning. Conor arrived exactly when he said he would, brought up and put together the sofa as we wished (right facing) without me having to lift a finger. Impact Office Furnishings has a lot to offer when it comes to fairly priced, ergonomic secondhand office furniture. The selection felt pretty extensive when I visited, with a range of office chairs, tables, and more.
What stood out to me the most was their range of used sit-stand desks. These can really make a difference in a work setup, so it’s nice to see so many options available at lower prices.
I also love that they do clearance sales on their never-been-used pieces of furniture. One of the customers I spoke to said that she’s always waiting for these sales because the prices are just a little higher than the used furniture the shop sells.
The staff also deserves credit. The salesperson I approached seemed well-informed and explained the differences between the desk chairs I was looking at without any pressure to buy.
The only problem is that they’re closed on weekends. It would be great if they’re open on those days, as most people are only free during those days.

“I have been shopping for a couple of weeks now for a height adjustable table for my home office. I searched online and checked out a few office furniture stores and found Impact Furniture. They had quite a large selection of sit-stand tables. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and told me that they can do custom sizes for almost no extra fee. ReFind Home Furnishings left a strong impression on me with its mix of affordable and vintage secondhand furniture. The pieces have real character, and I felt like they’d bring so much personality to a space.
The first thing I noticed was the great selection of secondhand lamps. From super vintage pieces to mid-century modern ones, the collection has something that would excite anyone who enjoys hunting for unique home accents.
What’s great is that they offer free delivery throughout the city. This makes their already affordable furniture even more cost-saving.
I also really like that they buy furniture from customers. It’s a smart way to clear out what you no longer use and put the money toward something more fitting to your space.
I shouldn’t forget to mention their very friendly and accommodating staff as well. They always greet customers with a big smile, which adds to the overall charm of the store.
If there’s one drawback, it’s their limited store hours. Being closed Friday through Sunday might make it tricky for people who can only shop on weekends.

One thing I really appreciated about The Sellution Quality Consignment Furniture is that they’re open on weekends. With my schedule, it’s not always easy to squeeze in visits to furniture shops, so being able to drop by without rearranging anything was a big plus.
The shop itself has a warm, cosy vibe that makes browsing genuinely enjoyable. I didn’t feel the need to rush and was able to really inspect every piece that caught my eye.
As for the furniture, they offer super budget-friendly vintage secondhand items. I spotted a few rare pieces, like uniquely shaped chairs and one-of-a-kind cabinets that would easily stand out in any room.
A lot of the regulars I spoke to love the store’s seasonal promo sale. Some mentioned getting more than 50% off, which is impressive considering the prices are already really affordable.
The staff were also really friendly during my visit. He even cracked jokes while helping me find the kind of furniture I was looking for.
Despite that, I still received some unfavourable comments about their customer service. One woman I interviewed was upset because no one entertained her for almost 15 minutes during one of her visits.

“Love this little shop – you never know what you’re going to find, other than that it will be fantastic! I contacted The Sellution to help sell some vintage and well-kept items of my grandmother’s, when she decided to downsize. Throughout the process, the owner was a fantastic help and just made the experience easy from beginning to end. My grandmother got good prices for her items, and I can only imagine the buyers were happy with their finds. In my forays into the shop, I even bought a few items for myself – they had some really nice paintings and art pieces. All-in-all, it was really a nice experience and I just want to say thank you to the owner and the staff for maintaining such a cool little shop where you can find things you literally won’t find anywhere else. Places like this are the heart and soul of Main Street!”

A fun store to shop and browse
“The Sellution is a fun store to shop and browse, however, my favourite feature would be their wonderful staff. We’re an interracial queer couple and we were treated with respect and kindness just like anyone other customer. Being treated with good manners and respect was unfortunately not something we could take granted for in the past couple of years especially during the Covid pandemic. Whether in person or email communication, the owner and staff were really helpful and patient. One more thing I’d like to thank them for is that, just last week, I couldn’t drive 30 minutes there and back to pick up my consignment cheque due to some physical challenges and they offered to mail it to me without any hassles. I feel very grateful for business that have great people like them.”

If you want affordable, vintage used furniture, Attic Treasures is one of the few places in town you should visit.
They have a relatively wide selection of secondhand furniture compared to most stores I visited. Here, it’s not impossible to find furniture that you need, whether for your home or office.
When I visited, I spotted some wooden desks, durable dressers, and a variety of other pieces that I felt like could easily fit into either a home or an office setup.
One thing I didn’t expect was that they also offer furniture rentals for events. It’s a flexible option, and they offer discounts that could go as high as 30%, depending on the rental length.
What really pushed them onto my top list, though, was their track record. They’ve won The Georgia Straight’s Best of Vancouver award four times, which says a lot about the consistency and quality of what they offer.
The only complaint I have is that they occasionally close earlier than expected. It can be really frustrating when you travelled a fair distance just to visit.

If you are unhappy with the Seller – then perhaps you carry your negative aura around with you and it can clash with others. We happened to get few giggles and jokes back and forth and it made my day! Anyhow, we had great experience. They stick to keeping everyone safe, providing all the space necessary to browse all the great vintage goodies they have there (and they have galore of MCM objects & furniture). The items they offer are *curated* and well researched. They are *not* a Value Village store (which I also love, don’t get me wrong). If you want an object that is high quality and made as they used to (solid, and actually crafted), you will understand why you don’t pay an alley-found prices. Highly recommended!”

“I love visiting this shop. They have great vintage pieces at reasonable prices including furniture, lighting and dishware, as well as some small knick knacks. There is enough stuff to see that it feels like a treasure hunt but not so much that you can’t navigate. And always new things coming in. Definitely lots of the mid-century modern style items, if you’re looking for that. The owner is really great and has helped me find numerous items. I was stuck on which floor light and she steered me to something that was a bit cheaper “vintage style” and a little easier to take care of. I appreciated her finding something that worked for me rather than a more expensive item. That lamp is one of my favourite things in my home now. 🛋️”
