1. Light Owl Landscape Lighting Vancouver

Location: 1500 W King Edward Ave
Contact: +17782221695
Opening Hours: Monday – Sunday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Light Owl won us with their comprehensive process. It typically involves 3 stages: assessment and design, installation, and final review. This allows clients to really refine and customize their lighting solutions.
The range of services is solid too. They offer everything from architectural lighting to seasonal Christmas lighting. The most impressive part is their speed, as most installations are completed within 1 to 2 days.
They don’t compromise on materials, earning them good marks in our book. Among their range of solutions are weather-resistant and low-voltage LED systems. With these options, clients can save on bills and maintenance.
Our favorite, though, has to be their smart lighting systems, which offer remote control and automation. For many families modernizing their homes, we see this as a great investment, especially if they’re out most of the time.
The drawback is, their rates aren’t suitable for most budget-conscious clients. Their rates just fall on the higher end. Still, the value for money is evident with the quality of work they offer, especially for large projects.
Great work quality
“We recently had landscape lighting installed by Light Owl and the entire experience was fantastic. From the first consultation to the final walkthrough, everything felt professional and well thought out. The lighting completely transformed our outdoor space. It looks beautiful at night and adds a real sense of safety and comfort. You can tell they genuinely care about the quality of their work and making sure the customer is happy. Highly recommend if you’re looking for lighting that actually makes a difference.”

2. IntuLight

Location: 1531 E 4th Ave
Contact: +17787128523
Opening Hours: Monday – Sunday: 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM
We liked how personalized IntuLight’s services are. They’re known in the area for their seasonal and permanent installations, both of which are frequently praised for quality workmanship and creative designs.
Speaking of seasonal installations, we’re impressed with how quickly they work in the winter, considering it’s a peak season with Christmas time. In fact, their turnaround time is just one evening, even for relatively larger projects.
As we’ve found through their team, their strength lies in their collaborative process. From the initial quote to post-installation support, they’re with clients at every step. This keeps the clients in the loop for any updates or adjustments.
Their versatility is also a winning factor. They can provide lighting designs for homes, gardens, events, and event film sets. Considering they can accommodate a wide range of clients, we agreed that they’re highly capable for various purposes.
The downside is the price, as it’s not the cheapest on the market. Though it’s fair to say that the value for money is there, and they’re not the most expensive option in the city. The consultation will help clarify these rates better.
Amazing, friendly, and quick
“We needed to replace Christmas lights this year and chose IntuLight; could not have asked for a better experience. Quick service – from idea to installed in a day. Communication was amazing, friendly and quick, and the lighting is definitely a step up from consumer-grade options. Installation was meticulous and well done, and the worked clean and efficiently. Would highly recommend. ”

Has a creative eye
“Vlad clearly has a creative eye and did a spectacular job installing lights in our backyard apple tree. Intulight was quick to communicate and came promptly as I wanted to install my lights. They were efficient, but not rushed, and were also able to install a dimmer which others in the past had told me was not possible. They are my new “go to” lighting company and I’d highly recommend them!”

3. Cypress

Location: 1855 Welch St Unit 2
Contact: +16049240228
Opening Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
One of Cypress’ best strengths is its design-led approach. For this, their team provides highly detailed proposals with photos, placement diagrams, and clear pricing estimates.
They’re great communicators too, enabling clients to request adjustments easily.
When it comes to the quality of materials, they win in our books too. The company uses quality, weather-resistant lighting systems like Kichler. The brand is known for long-term durability and stylish designs.
The installation process is noteworthy for the level of workmanship. Their handling includes creating low-voltage path lights, tree uplifting, wall washing, and step lighting. This eliminates any need for hiring extra contractors for complementary work.
Another thing we liked is their post-installation service. This includes checking fixture alignment, cleaning lenses, replacing bulbs, and testing timers. They do fast repairs too, which is another support factor ticked off from our list.
The only downside is that during peak seasons for landscaping (March to May), Cypress becomes a little too difficult to book (as they specialize mostly in landscape lighting). We recommend booking in advance.
Professional team with great design advice
“Cypress recently upgraded our exterior lighting system and installed a new transformer with automatic timer. The low path lights and tree flood lights have enormously improved the appearance of our home and increased safety. The team was efficient, professional and they had great design advice. We would highly recommend Cypress Lighting.”

Able to address any issues
“I would like to take a moment to extend a heartfelt thank you to Luke from Cypress Landscaping Lighting for the outstanding refurbishment of our landscape and pond lighting at the Crescent on McRae. Luke is extremely personable and provided us with accurate estimates, prompt attention and was very capable in addressing any issues that would inevitably arise during our project. I would highly recommend him and this company.”

4. Luminosa Light Designs

Location: 1840 Fir St
Contact: +16047340829
Opening Hours: Monday – Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM,
This locally owned shop got our attention for having a broad range of interesting and high-end fixtures. Their lighting options include both rare vintage finds and sleek modern styles, making them a versatile choice for various settings.
The consultation process alone is in-depth and seamless. In their showroom, they provide same-day assistance for all needs. They help clients pick brackets, select bulbs, and design the entire lighting scheme.
Beyond the design stage, their fast and flexible service is also worth mentioning. They completed the project on time as promised. There was even a client who required 150 pieces of designer dimmers and got them with zero errors.
What’s nice is that Luminosa also serves interior designers and contractors. This makes it easy for professionals to secure hard-to-find styles at a fair cost. They’re honest and knowledgeable about their offerings, which reassured us.
While most of the experiences with them are glowing, we did note inconsistencies in packaging. This isn’t always the case, but we understand that it’s frustrating for clients who paid a lot of money.
Found exactly what they were looking for
“They are so helpful. Found exactly what I was looking for, and even directed me to another store that had something I needed to go with it.
I can’t recommend them too highly- I’ll go back next time I’m looking for beautiful lighting.”
– Liz Fendly | Google Review

5. Black Ox Landscape Lighting

Contact: +17782016587
Opening Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Black Ox is among Vancouver’s most reliable lighting providers. We loved their hands-on service, strong work ethic, and precise installations. From start to finish, the experience feels thoughtful in terms of collaboration.
We like that their service begins with a dedicated on-site consultation. Every recommendation is tailored, considering not only design goals but also crucial factors like the property layout.
During the installation process, everything is handled neatly and safely. In particular, the wires are buried below grade to maintain a clean and hazard-free setting. They also use a low-voltage system, making them a solid choice for residential clients.
What we appreciate the most about their process is that it involves a return visit at night to fine-tune fixture angles and lighting intensity. This allows clients to really see their systems when it matters the most.
It’s important to note, however, that their popularity often means longer lead times during busy seasons like Spring. The results are worth it, according to clients, so the wait is worth it for those who can commit.
Great attention to detail
“Provided sound advice regarding installation of landscape lighting. Professional job. Attentive to detail. Good value. So impressed with first few lights that I brought Luke back to add a few more. Would definitely recommend as safe bet for high quality work.”
