But finding a place that actually cares about the game as much as you do is harder than it sounds. Some bars put games on the TV but keep the sound low. Others don’t carry the right packages, so you miss out on NFL Sunday Ticket or UFC fights.
That’s why we spent weeks checking out every corner of the city. We wanted to find the best sports bars in Vancouver that offer excellent food and immerse customers in the sports atmosphere.

When it comes to sports bars in Vancouver, Dublin Calling is pretty hard to beat, especially with its new and expanded venue. It’s twice the size of the old one, so people don’t have to crowd in with dozens of other fans just to see the screen.
They have 15 large-screen TVs spread out so every corner has a clear view. They always have the sound on for big games too, making it one of the best bars with sound on in Vancouver.
We love the variety in beers too. They have 12+ beers on tap, including Stanley Park Draft and Guinness. What’s even better is you can add a shot of Jameson for just $6.
The happy hour (Sunday to Friday, 4 pm to 6 pm) offers some of the best deals we’ve seen in the city. They offer half-priced bottles of wine and food deals such as garlic Parm fries, single smash cheeseburgers, and solo nachos.
One regular we spoke to said they bring their whole crew here for Canucks games because the happy hour lets them feed everyone without breaking the bank.
That said, the wait times for pool tables and dart games can be long at times. While waiting, we recommend going upstairs and enjoying the other bar games they have.

“Went to all the England House games at Dublin Calling. Great service by staff and atmosphere was top notch for Euros and Copa. Had the mushroom melt and was so delicious. Was on the top floor for the final Euro game and it was unbelievable to see all three floors packed. That is a special space up there hope to see more events there. Special props to Dan T. organizing all the games for England at the Dublin C and all the staff’s hard work during the summer footy tournaments”

2. The Sportsbar LIVE! At Rogers Arena

If you want to feel arena energy without a ticket, we recommend checking out The Sports Bar Live.
It’s connected to Rogers Arena and offers three seatings: pre-game, in-game, and post-game. This lets people plan their visit around the kickoff or puck drop.
One season ticket holder we spoke to said they always come here before Canucks games because the pre-game seating lets them avoid arena crowds while still getting hyped up.
This place is very immersive. Dare we say, it’s one of the best places to watch a Canucks game in Vancouver for those who want the full experience.
Only the back seats have views of the Rogers Arena ice, but the entire restaurant features over 100 4K HDTVs, so guests never miss a play.
Food-wise, their Sportsbar Nachos are delicious with the BBQ pulled chicken or the taco beef. Other customers rave about their signature Sportsbar Wings in bbq, honey garlic, and Thai sweet chilli.
The catch is that during big arena events, the restaurant fills up fast. A few regulars warned us that they sometimes have to wait over an hour.

“We had an outstanding experience at the sports bar, conveniently located close to the arena. For appetizers, we indulged in the mouthwatering meatball sliders and crispy onion rings—both were absolutely delicious. I decided to try the curry for my main course, and it was a revelation—rich, flavorful, and one of the best curries I’ve ever tasted. The service was impeccable, making our visit even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a fantastic time filled with incredible food!

“Like a bar with T.V.’s?, this place is it! Every wall is covered with this and one big screen. Food pricing is like the stadium pricing, expensive but you can get a can of beer for 10 bucks, I recommend a pint, it goes further. Can’t say much about the food as I only had “hot” wings…not spicy at all, mustard has more zing. Service was great! Very attentive staff although I wish they could remember who ordered what. During my visit, 3 servers came to my table with other people’s food, no biggie though. Great place to watch a canucks game though, awesome atmosphere. I will go back and try the rest of their menu and watch games. MAKE RESERVATIONS!”

3. Shark Club Sports Bar

Shark Club keeps fans coming back with inventive food and daily deals. Their rotating Burger of the Month, currently The Brew-Ster Burger, is unlike anything we’ve tried at other sports bars.
The coffee-crusted patty gives it a rich, toasty flavour that pairs perfectly with the house-made mocha aioli and slow-caramelised onions. And that warm pretzel bun holds up even when loaded with extra toppings.
Happy hour runs Monday to Friday from 2 pm to 5 pm, plus late night from 9 pm to close.
We love how they’ve tailored each day to different kinds of fans, whether customers prefer cocktails or wings.
On Triple Play Mondays, margs, mojitos, and mules are $5 off. Tasty Tuesdays bring $5 off classic cocktails and $5 Shaft Shots, plus a steak sandwich and fries for under $20. Wednesday is for wings and buds, and pints of Bud are $7.
They’re also a great choice for NFL Sunday Ticket and UFC fans in Vancouver, with plenty of screens and sound turned up.
Just note that the bar can get packed to the point where it’s hard to move around.

“Shark Club Sports Bar & Grill is hands down the best place to watch sports in Vancouver. There are TVs everywhere and they’re visible from every table, so there’s truly never a bad seat in the house.
Sundays are our favorite. The jersey squares and raffle add such a fun and exciting vibe and make game days even better.A huge shout out to Jeff, who runs the jersey raffle. He went above and beyond for my 8 year old by helping him pick out a jersey, giving him lots of great choices, and making sure he felt included. He even came back later to chat with him and check that he was happy with his choice. That kind of service really stands out.Great atmosphere, great staff, and unbeatable for sports fans. What we really love about The Moose Vancouver is how it maintains a rock ‘n’ roll vibe while remaining one of the best sports pubs in Vancouver.
People get the best of both worlds: great sports viewing and a killer music vibe. The walls are covered with memorabilia, and customers can even pick what plays on the jukebox.
They always have major games on, and the TV quality is excellent. We’ve seen a few games here and enjoyed that we don’t have to stand up to get a good view of the screen.
However, the music can sometimes be louder than the game audio when the jukebox is playing. We saw a few fans had to ask staff to turn up the TV volume during a close Canucks game.
That aside, the menu is full of classic pub favourites that are perfect for sharing during a game.
Their crispy deep-fried wings come in 7 flavours, including unique options like dill pickle and orange ginger. Other favourites include cheesy bacon potato skins, delicious poutine, and filling burgers.

“Really enjoyed this place. Stopped by for a visit on a Saturday night and we sat up at the bar. The place had a really fun, dive-bar type vibe. The two bartenders were super-friendly dudes and also very good at their jobs – top marks for sure. Loved the fact you could get some real ‘one-off’s’ in terms of beer – for example, they stock Labatt’s Genuine Draft and Blue. Tried a Kokanee on tap and as a beer snob I was super impressed as I could tell the draft beer lines were very clean (obviously they clean them on a regular basis, which is awesome). All in all, this is a fun spot, with great service, tasty beer and we will definitely come back here again.”

Absolutely my new favorite
“There are not enough of these bastions of rock left in the world. A particular unfussy character pub with bras on the ceiling and story’s pasted across every surface. The patrons all seemly connected by good times and a cold beverage. I can’t speak to the food as their are literally hundreds of options in walking distance but the beers, service staff and music are 10/10. If you’re an old skid burnout like me you will find yourself at home here. Absolutely my new favorite haunt when I find myself in Vancouver.

Pint Public House is a top choice for weekend sports viewing in downtown Vancouver, as it transforms into a vibrant party spot on Fridays.
Every Friday night, they set up two dance floors with DJs spinning tracks from performing artists. A few women we talked to said they come here every Friday because it’s Ladies Night with free admission.
During the week, however, they focus on sports and great deals. They have several HD TV screens throughout the place, with sports games playing throughout the week.
We visited on Tuesday and purchased their beer-and-burger bundle for $20. They also have 16 beers on tap that rotate regularly, so we tried a few different ones while we enjoyed the game.
The burger was juicy and perfectly seasoned. It paired well with the beers, most of which were refreshingly crisp.
The only downside is that the Friday night party atmosphere can make it hard to watch sports for those who arrive later in the evening. We saw a few people trying to watch a late NFL game but struggling to hear the TV over the music.

“Andrew, the manager, was excellent. My friends and I were at The Pint on New Year’s Eve, and he ran the night properly. He stepped in to handle a few heated situations calmly and professionally, de-escalating things instead of letting them spiral.
When I raised a concern about someone being overly aggressive toward my friends on the dance floor, he listened, took it seriously, and made sure the situation was handled without anyone getting hurt.
The security team and bar staff were just as solid — respectful, approachable, and on top of things. Overall, it was a well-managed night with a great atmosphere because of the people working.

“Festive sports bar to catch a game (loud but fun). We had a couple beers before a dinner reservation and the place was lively with hockey and football fans on a Saturday night. The vibe is friendly and we had nice conversations with locals at the bar. We were just in town for a layover but we’d like to try the expansive wing selection next time.”
