If you’re sharing your home with a Maine Coon or a shedding senior feline, you know how much they bring immense joy. But they also bring along a fair share of fur on every surface.
Keeping our feline family members clean and mat-free is not only convenient but also essential for their health and comfort.
So we set out to find compassionate cat grooming services in Vancouver that cater specifically to feline needs and ensure a stress-free experience.

1. Pawz Set Go Pet Services Inc.

Website: pawzsetgo.com
Address: Mobile Services (Lower Mainland, British Columbia)
Contact: 604 754 1985 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00AM to 7:00PM | Saturday & Sunday 8:00AM to 5:00PM
Nothing tests the bond between a pet parent and their anxious feline quite like a trip in the car, which is exactly why Pawz Set Go focuses on mobile in-home pet care rather than operating out of a traditional grooming salon. Their setup helps eliminate unnecessary travel stress by bringing grooming services directly to your home.
They prioritize a gentle, “go slow” behavioral approach designed specifically for highly nervous or sensitive pets. During our session, Nezhat, the founder and an internationally trained veterinarian, conducted a careful behavioral assessment before even reaching for a comb.
Her veterinary background brings an added level of safety, knowledge, and confidence that is difficult to find with standard grooming providers. The customized pacing and calm handling helped our usually defensive senior cat remain surprisingly relaxed throughout the hygienic trim.
What also makes Pawz Set Go stand out is that the business extends beyond grooming alone, offering pet sitting, dog walking, medication administration, and transportation services under one brand. This creates a more convenient and consistent care experience for pet owners looking for trusted in-home support.
Just keep in mind that the service focuses primarily on maintenance grooming and veterinary-informed care rather than elaborate cosmetic breed styling. For pet owners prioritizing comfort, patience, and low-stress handling, though, the more personalized approach is likely to be a major advantage.
Highly recommended professional for hostile cats
I highly recommend Nez’s work. She gave lion cut haircuts to my totally hostile cats with professionalism, total calm and good humour. If I had to find a groomer again, I’d hire her in a heartbeat!! She is also well priced and happens to be a VET herself.

2. Woof & Meow Spa

Website: woofandmeowspa.com
Address: 2502 Nanaimo St
Contact: (604) 255-3795 | [email protected]
Hours: Tuesday to Saturday 9:00AM to 5:00PM
Urban professionals with tight schedules need solutions that respect both their time and their pet’s comfort. Woof & Meow Spa tackles this brilliantly by completing a full feline styling session in under an hour to minimize stressful handling.
I love how they employ a crate-free environment and a fear-reduction approach focused on relationship-building for anxious cats. This low-stress philosophy helps pets acclimate to the process.
Plus, we appreciate that the groomers aim for efficiency without sacrificing safety or aesthetics.
If you’re interested, you can easily manage appointments and payments through a dedicated client portal.
However, the crate-free facility also caters to dogs, meaning cats are exposed to a mixed-species environment. This free-roaming setup could cause significant distress for felines not accustomed to canine companions.
Quick, stress-free groom for shy cat
Love the place it was great for my cat. She smelled amazing and felt even better. I was told that she did really good which shocked me cause she usually doesn’t like strangers. My cat must have liked them a lot cause they got him done in under an hour without any trouble, Thank you very much I can’t wait to come back for her next groom.

Perfect lion shave, no signs of stress
I brought my Cat for his first groom. Since it was summer I thought I’d get him a lion shave. I was worried since my can can be aggressive, however they got him done without any incident. It was perfect and I couldn’t be happier. My can wasn’t even panting or showed any signs of stress I was very impressed.

3. Pet Lux

Website: petlux.ca
Address: 650 Pacific St
Contact: 604-571-9730
Hours: Tuesday to Sunday 9:00AM to 5:00PM
The stylists at Pet Lux don’t just groom cats. They’re specifically trained in early dermatological detection, identifying hidden skin issues before they escalate into serious problems.
We were deeply impressed when they quickly spotted a mild irritation on our long-haired Ragdoll that we had completely missed at home.
Beyond health checks, they offer a specialized menu of haircuts in a space specifically designed to limit visual and acoustic sensory overload. Their staff works swiftly to minimize handling time while providing beautiful aesthetic results.
While many dog daycare centers in Vancouver and dual-species salons struggle with noise, we love how Pet Lux mitigates it wonderfully.
However, because visiting any new salon still inherently disrupts a sensitive cat’s routine, the groomer will halt the session entirely if a pet becomes too overwhelmed.
Gentle care for nervous, sore cat
I explained to Gina that she is nervous and jumpy at the moment, and asked her to be very gentle as she has a sore tummy. I expected that my cat would come out and want to go straight home, but when she was brought out in her bag, she was so clean and soft and she was purring and calmer than she’s been in days! She took such good care of her and even took photos of her bath time 🫧

Amazing, compassionate groomer for shy pets
I took my cat Yoyo in for grooming, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Sahar did an amazing job! She was so sweet and gentle with Yoyo, who is usually quite shy and doesn’t do well with strangers. Despite that, Sahar managed to make him feel comfortable and handled everything with such care and professionalism.
You can tell she really loves animals and knows how to work with them. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a skilled and compassionate groomer!

4. Salon Kitty

Website: sk1yvr.com
Address: Mobile Services
Contact: [email protected]
Hours: Contact for availability
Some feline companions simply can’t tolerate traditional bath routines or busy commercial spaces. Salon Kitty bypasses the stress entirely through an exclusive in-home mobile model.
They bring specialized non-bath options directly to your living room.
Safety is clearly a top priority with them. Cheryl, the lead groomer, maintains active dual certifications in pet first aid and animal CPR/AED (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillator).
They also focus on organic facial cleaning and gentle brush-outs for pets that panic around water. There’s even a dedicated education package designed to gently desensitize young kittens to handling early in life.
While this highly personalized service is fantastic for cautious owners, the pricing structure is incredibly rigid.
Clients face severe financial penalties for short-notice cancellations and significant surcharges if their pet displays aggressive behavior during the appointment.
Expert handling of a cat’s spicy attitude
Cheryl has been grooming my cat for 3 years now and is absolutely a gem to work with! Persian cats are known for their spicy attitude towards others grooming them and my cat is no exception – Cheryl handles my cat’s quirks and it’s truly a joy to listen to her calm the cat while shaving her!

Fantastic house-call service, stress-free grooming
Salon Kitty Cat provided an absolutely fantastic grooming experience for my two cats, Turbo and Rambo! Cheryl was amazing—she handled them with such care, patience, and expertise. Website: dashingdawgs.com
Address: 561 Cardero St
Contact: (604) 568-6096
Hours: Monday to Saturday 10:00AM to 6:00PM | Sunday 10:00AM to 5:00PM
Dashing Dawgs explicitly caters to nervous and senior felines, utilizing gentle holds and fragrance-free products to ensure maximum comfort.
They stand out by refusing painful de-matting techniques, prioritizing humane comfort over achieving a perfect aesthetic finish.
We also like that the team provides all-natural, sedation-free dental care as a safe extension of their standard hygienic maintenance.
This thoughtful addition allows health-conscious owners to tackle teeth cleaning without the risks associated with anesthesia.
However, they maintain a highly controlled environment to support their specialized care, which brings a few strict operational rules.
Owners must transport their pets in secure carriers, and the salon will firmly refuse service to any animal displaying unmanageable hostility.

Amazing staff, quick nail cut for aggressive cat
This place is absolutely wonderful. The store itself is so cute and clean. The staff are amazing! Anytime I call they’re always so sweet and polite. I took my cat to get her nails cut and Amy was lovely and did the job in 5 minutes! Mind you, my cat never ever let’s me cut her nails, she bites and throws a fit! Amy took good care of her and did a fabulous job. This place loves animals and takes wonderful care of them. And the price is right in my opinion
