I ordered a couple of beers to have for my stay, and the delivery guy showed up with dented cans that were ready to explode in my face.
That’s why when I got back to Vancouver, I looked into reputable alcohol delivery services in our city. Here are the companies I found that deliver alcohol to you safe and sound.
How much does it cost to get alcohol delivery in Vancouver?
Most companies offer free alcohol delivery in Vancouver, depending on your minimum purchase, but others charge at least a $5 delivery fee.

1. Legacy Liquor Store

I love that Legacy Liquor Store’s entire catalogue is available for delivery. This means you don’t have to go in-store to find a particular brand of liquor they stock.
Another thing I appreciate is how user-friendly their online ordering system is. The website is extremely user-friendly and organized into sections from wine to sake.
What really sets them apart for me, though, is the option to email them for a personal shopping experience.
Their advisors were incredibly helpful when I emailed them. They guided me through some unique spirit pairings I wouldn’t have discovered on my own.
The no-minimum order is fantastic, but they do charge a delivery fee.
The good thing is they offer same-day delivery and even the option to choose your own delivery time slot. I loved being able to schedule my delivery for when I was actually home, as I wanted to avoid the delivery rescheduling fee.

I appreciate that West Coast Liquor Company offers the same promotions to its online customers as it does in-store. Yes, I got 5% off the 1800 Coconut Silver Tequila I ordered and free delivery!
I also appreciate that they offer both priority and standard services on same-day delivery orders. There’s no need to wait weeks for my liquor.
They even have advanced bookings up to 14 days, which is convenient if you’re planning ahead for a party or event.
I opted for the same-day delivery, and my order arrived right on time. The driver was friendly and professional, and everything was handled with care.
The only minor thing that I noticed was that the packaging was a bit dented. This could have been due to the rough handling of the delivery guy or the packaging not being sturdy enough for delivery.
That aside, I like that they have free cancellation. You can cancel your order up until the day of delivery and get a refund, which isn’t always the case with other shops.

1933 Liquor Co keeps the ordering process super easy. You just enter your address on their website, and boom, you have access to their menu.
They offer free delivery for orders above $69, which I really appreciate. I was able to grab a bottle of Canadian Club 100% Rye Whiskey and their Driftwood Spirits Contract Citrus Gin without worrying about hefty shipping charges.
Their loyalty program offers great value for regulars too. You get 1% cashback on every online transaction, so you can rake in a lot of points and get discounts on your next purchase.
Their delivery times are impressively fast as well. When I placed my order, the estimated delivery time was 40 minutes, which definitely beats waiting 2 days.
I appreciated receiving a text from the driver when he was en route to my place with my order.
When he arrived, the package was in good condition. Nothing was broken or leaking. The bottles were securely packed in a cardboard box with dividers, so they didn’t clink around.
My only complaint about the shop is that the free delivery minimum is a bit high. While I was able to enjoy it, others who aren’t stocking up on liquor might not.

4. Marquis Wine Cellars

Marquis Wines has a wide range of wines, Champagne, beer and spirits. I was actually able to get my hands on a bottle of Nanclares Y Prieto 2023 Tempus Vivendi Albarino, which I’d been looking for a while.
The ordering process was easy: simply add to your cart and check out.
I also love how clear and transparent they are about their delivery times. They deliver from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. They service Downtown Vancouver, West Vancouver, and beyond.
But since their delivery service doesn’t operate on weekends, if you’re planning a weekend gathering, you’ll need to order in advance.
That aside, I appreciate that they offer standard delivery within 2-3 business days. Those in Vancouver proper are a lot luckier, though. If you order before 11 AM and choose their Priority Shipping option, you can get same-day delivery.
The Priority Shipping option is pretty reliable. I ordered before 11 am, and my wine arrived later that afternoon. The packaging was secure, and the bottle arrived perfectly.
They also offer free shipping on orders over $249, which is nice if you’re stocking up. But since my order didn’t meet this threshold, I ended up paying a small delivery charge.

Darby’s Liquor Store and Alcohol Delivery has a killer loyalty program. It feels like they’re paying you to enjoy a cold one. Customers accumulate 2% back in points on every dollar they spend with the store, which I think is a great deal for regulars.
I also appreciate how easy it is to order. All I had to do was scroll through their massive selection and add to cart.
This time around, I ended up ordering two six-packs of 33 Acres of Darkness, a lager-style beer. But honestly, their range goes beyond beer. They also have a premium selection of ciders, wines, and top-tier spirits.
Since their deliveries start at 10 AM and end at 11 PM, I had no major issues with receiving my delivery. It arrived in under an hour, ice-cold and ready to crack open.
However, they do charge a $5 delivery fee, and you need to meet a $25 minimum just to place an order.
Plus, cancellations can be a little strict. For any orders cancelled after 10 minutes, you will have to pay a $10 restocking fee. If you do cancel within 10 minutes, you can get a full refund.
