During our visit to Home Renovations BC, we were really impressed with how hands-on and dedicated Raj and his team are. They’ve really mastered how to keep projects on track.
We spoke with a client who had their basement renovated, and they loved Raj’s ability to collaborate with them. The team was flexible with out-of-the-box requests and last-minute changes, like adding pot lights and speakers to the basement.
They also mentioned how Raj helped them adjust designs when challenges came up.
However, there were a couple of things that could have been handled a little better. A client mentioned that some electrical decisions weren’t discussed until installation. It wasn’t a deal breaker, but communication around these smaller details is important.
On the plus side, the team was quick to fix any issues after the work was done, which helped balance things out.
Raj also offers an Airbnb for clients during the renovations. It’s a great option if you’re living in the home while things are being torn apart. It’s not something you see with every renovation company.

When we checked their portfolio, the attention to detail stood out. In one basement project, the custom cabinetry fit perfectly, and the lighting setups looked thoughtfully designed.
They also take important things seriously, like waterproofing, safety codes, and ventilation. Those details are easy to overlook, but are super important, especially for basements.
We also had a fun time checking out their YouTube channel. It’s pretty cool to see their project tours, like basement renovation and condo makeovers. It’s a behind-the-scenes look that can help you picture what’s possible in your own space.

We also appreciated how open they were about budgets and timelines. They give clear timing estimates and actually stick to them. One client told us their basement was finished on time, and the team kept them updated throughout.
It also stood out to us that they handle permits and inspections very well. It can get tricky with basement work, especially if you’re adding plumbing or creating a legal suite.
That said, their pricing isn’t the cheapest because they use premium materials. But, after seeing their works, we think the value is definitely there. Plus, they offer post-renovation support if anything needs fixing later.

We looked into Luxxe Build, and they definitely know how to make a project feel personal and hassle-free.
We spoke with a homeowner who had them do a basement renovation, and they said working with them was a breeze. They were always kept in the loop, and the team was super responsive whenever they had questions.
The basement had some moisture issues. Instead of just slapping on a quick fix, the team replaced some studs, insulated the walls, and even added a vapor barrier to prevent future moisture problems.
The results left us in awe: a dry, comfortable basement with beautiful engineered flooring and some cool LED pot lights in the ceiling.
Besides that, we also heard they do bathroom remodels. In one case, they swapped a tub for a walk-in shower with a glass enclosure. This attention to detail really impressed us.
We’ve also heard great stuff about Yoram, the owner. He brings over samples, helps his clients choose finishes, and gives solid advice along the way.
One small hiccup we heard about was a slight delay in getting the final quote. But once, they locked down the details, the pricing was competitive.
