I still remember the moment I finally scored a hot date after last year’s dry spell. I flashed my most confident smile in the mirror before dinner only to realize my mouth resembled a game of Jenga. Teeth precariously stacked, leaning in all sorts of wrong directions.
Let’s just say I quickly rescheduled my date, and that was the wake-up call I needed. (I should have kept up my retainers.)
As it turns out, adult braces are a thing! The Waterview team actually helped me find the best orthodontist in Vancouver for this, and I’m happy to say it’s turned out pretty good thus far.
If you’re having problems with your own (or even a child’s teeth), I’ll share our shortlist of options with you too. That way, you won’t have to go through the same dismay I did on that awful night!
How much does orthodontic treatment cost in Vancouver? Basic orthodontic treatment in Vancouver costs at least $2,000. This price is just an estimate and will vary depending on what type of orthodontic treatment you get and how long treatment will last. |
How We Chose
1. ClearView Orthodontics
Address: 805 W Broadway #1807, Vancouver, BC V5Z 1K1, Canada
Contact Details: +16048726606
Operating Hours:
- Monday & Friday – 8 AM to 4:50 PM
- Tuesday – 9 AM to 4 PM
- Wednesday & Thursday – 9 AM to 6 PM
Website: ClearView Orthodontics
ClearView is the place to be, whether you’re a kid wanting a dazzling smile for school photos or an adult looking to spruce up that grin. They’ve got a knack for figuring out what works best for every age and have options that won’t break the bank.
From what we’ve observed, the whole crew is full of smiles and warmth. They’ve even got cool stuff to keep you or the little ones entertained while you wait, which is a lifesaver.
But Dr. Siu and Dr. Weltman—these two are the real deal when it comes to making your teeth look awesome. And you don’t have to go with those old-school metal braces, because they’ve got options like ceramic braces and the coolness of Invisalign and Lingual braces.
The best part? They actually sit down and chat with you so you get what’s happening every step of the way, answering all your questions, even the ones you think might be a bit out there.
Heads up, though—booking an appointment can be a drag. They fill up fast, so you’ve got to be quick or maybe a bit flexible with your schedule.
And parking is a bit of a mission. They’ve got paid spots underground, but it can get tight during busy times. If driving in circles isn’t your thing, maybe try street parking or hopping on a bus instead.
Pros
- Friendly and welcoming staff
- Multiple treatment options
- Informative orthodontists
Cons
- Difficult appointment scheduling
- Parking difficulties

I feel confident with everything so far
“We have just started my kiddo’s orthodontist journey. The office is easily accessible. All staff were warm and friendly and knowledgeable. Treatment plans were offered in a straight forward way that made my 13 year old feel part of the conversation. Using technology they are able to make an educated guess about how long treatment will take which is extremely helpful. Clarity around the billing options is fantastic and Dr Weltman was a calming and gentle presence. I feel confident with everything so far!”

You can see how thorough they are even just with the first consultation appointment
” This place is a well oiled machine! The staff is very nice, professional and approachable. You can see how thorough they are even just with the first consultation appointment; building your case and taking all the necessary records of how your teeth come together to come up with a plan. They also explain in a very complete yet simple way, which I appreciate. It is very evident and impressive how efficient they are, while also giving you top quality service. Loved it!

If you’re dealing with some serious jaw issues or need surgery alongside your braces or aligners, Ocean Orthodontics has got your back. From what we’ve heard from former patients, they’ve got oral surgeons that make sure your treatment is a success.
And, whether you’re in your tween years or are rocking that adult life, Ocean Orthodontics has all the goods—the classic metal braces, those sneaky clear aligners like Invisalign, and even those fancy self-ligating braces.
When we went to Ocean Orthodontics in person to chat with Dr. Douglas and Dr. Negar Salimi, we felt the warm vibes right away. It was clear to us that they’re the kind of people who genuinely want to chat about what’s going on with your treatment and answer all your questions without making you feel rushed.
Plus, tech-wise, they’re not playing around. They’ve got all the latest gadgets to make sure they get a crystal-clear picture of what your teeth and jaw are up to.
This means better diagnosis and treatment options that feel like they’re from the future—less hassle, less friction, and for those who want to keep things on the DL, pretty much invisible aligners.
But hey, if you need a weekend appointment, you’re out of luck.
Pros
- Excellent patient care

- Plenty of treatment options
Cons
- No weekend appointments

Dr Salimi is an absolute saint; she was so reassuring and kind
“Just completed my journey with Ocean Orthodontics, and couldn’t be happier. Dr Douglas has such fun energy and was always thorough with explaining things. Dr Salimi is an absolute saint; she was so reassuring and kind when I was going through my jaw surgery recovery (which is no walk in the park), and always made me feel like I was in good, knowledgeable hands; I am so thankful to have been under her care throughout the process. All of the assistants are super friendly and gentle during the adjustments, too. I couldn’t have picked a better team. Thanks so much. I love my new smile!! ”

3. Orthologie Orthodontics

Contact Details: +16044490239
Operating Hours: Monday to Friday – 9 AM to 5 PM
Website: Orthologie Orthodontics
Orthologie Orthodontics is doing some pretty cool stuff for anyone looking to get that picture-perfect smile. We got to speak with Dr. Hou during a free consultation to get the lowdown.
They’ve got everything from Invisalign to these super sleek Lightforce braces. And the cherry on top? Their “Orthologie On The Go” app lets you check in with them without leaving your couch. Handy, right?
We also liked how they bend over backward to make getting treatment a breeze. They’re all about flexibility with appointments, and their payment plans don’t break the bank, starting at $150 a month.
We’ve also noted that Dr. Hou and his team tackle issues early, so there’s no need to stress about crowded or spaced-out teeth. And if you’re a parent worried about your kid’s teeth, they offer Invisalign First.
But just a heads up, they might not work with all dental insurance plans. It’s definitely something to check before diving into treatment with them.
And they’re super pro-Invisalign, which is great if that’s what you’re looking for. But if you’re team traditional braces, you might want to shop around a bit to see all your options.
Pros
- Latest technology
- Orthologie on the go
- Payment plans
- Early intervention
Cons
- Limited insurance coverage
- Limited braces options

4. PacificWest Dental Group Vancouver Orthodontist & Invisalign
Address: 182 E 15th Ave, Vancouver, BC V5T 4R3, Canada
Contact Details: +16045580993
Operating Hours:
Tuesday to Friday – 9 AM to 5 PM
Saturday – 9 AM to 3 PM
Website: PacificWest Dental Group Vancouver Orthodontist & Invisalign
So, I recently checked out PacificWest Dental Group, and they’re all about braces, Invisalign, and all kinds of treatments to fix whatever’s going on with your teeth—think crooked teeth, overcrowding, bite problems, you name it.
One thing that’s super cool about them is that they’re using this fancy tech called iTero scanners. They pretty much take a digital tour of your mouth, which means no more goopy impressions and a super smooth start to planning your treatment.
They also make use of cold laser therapy, which helps your mouth heal faster and reduces pain after procedures.
On the money side, they’re pretty understanding. Orthodontic treatments can make your wallet wince, but they offer interest-free financing options to ease that sting a bit.
However, if you’re going through your insurance, the clinic doesn’t do direct billing with insurance companies. This means you’ll have to submit your claims yourself. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s an extra thing to think about.
Pros
- Advanced technology
- Financing options
Cons
- No direct insurance billing

Gave me a step by step guide on the entire process

5. Helios Orthodontics
Address: 1080 Mainland St, Vancouver, BC V6B 2T4, Canada
Contact Details:+16045651080
Operating Hours: Tuesday to Friday – 8 Am to 5 PM
Website: Helios Orthodontics
From what we’ve noticed, Helios Orthodontics are all about keeping things clear and open, building solid trust, and just treating everyone with a whole lot of respect and kindness.
But getting that first consultation appointment locked in was a bit of a hassle, to be honest. Trying to get through on the phone felt like a bit of a mission sometimes.
And when we did get to the whole consultation process, it felt like it took longer than a season of your favourite binge-worthy series. While we totally get that they’re all about being thorough, a bit of streamlining wouldn’t hurt, you know?
Despite this, whether you’re into the latest clear aligner tech or sticking with the classic braces, they’ve got you covered. Plus, they haven’t forgotten about the little ones, offering early treatment to nip any future problems in the bud.
But Dr. Kenneth Lam is the real genius behind the braces—or aligners, depending on what you go for. When we spoke with him, it was clear to see that this guy has spent a ton of time learning all the ins and outs of clear aligners.
Staying on top of the latest techniques is his thing, ensuring everyone gets the best, most modern treatment possible.
Pros
- Respectful environment
- Knowledgeable orthodontist
- Many treatment options
Cons
- Long consultation process
- Scheduling difficulties

Dr Lam has gone over and above to ensure my invisalign journey is going to be successful
“I can’t say enough about this clinic. Dr Lam has gone over and above to ensure my invisalign journey is going to be successful. After my previous Orthodontist suddenly passed away, Dr Lam came forward to generously take over her patients at no extra charge. His team are so lovely to work with also. I can’t recommend this clinic enough. I also love their central location in Yaletown. Thank you Dr Lam and team. You are the best at what you do!”
