And I know where all the best ones are—let me share with you my go-to spots.

The Waterfront Centre Food Court is a Vancouver classic, especially for those working or visiting the downtown area. The food court is just a short walk from Waterfront Station and Canada Place, making it a great option for travellers and commuters.

It’s a bustling hub with a wide selection of food vendors. You can grab quick bites like McDonald’s and Subway or more substantial meals like sushi, shawarma, and poke. It’s a great place to grab a quick lunch or a casual dinner.

Pro Tip: If you’re looking for a quick and affordable lunch, head to Fatburger. They have juicy burgers, crispy fries, and satisfying milkshakes. This makes it a great choice if you want a classic American-style meal.

2. International Food Fair

The International Food Fair is for anyone looking for a quick and affordable meal with a global twist. Their vendors represent countries from all over the world.

You’ll find everything from Vietnamese pho and ramen to Japanese sushi, Indian curry, and Korean food. It’s a great place to explore different flavors and discover new favorites.

I love the fact that it’s conveniently located in Vancouver’s downtown core, making it easily accessible for those working or visiting the area.

It’s also a short walk from the Vancouver Art Gallery, BC Place, and Waterfront Station. It’s a great spot to grab a bite before or after a show or event.

Pro Tip: If you’re craving something sweet, grab a bubble waffle at Bubble Waffle Cafe. They make it right there on the spot, so it’s fresh, hot, and delicious.

The Granville Island Public Market food court is a Vancouver institution, and for good reason. It’s a foodie’s paradise, with over 50 vendors offering everything from fresh seafood and artisan cheeses to international cuisines like Thai, Japanese, and Mexican.

It’s a real sensory overload but in the best way possible. I love browsing the stalls, sampling different treats, and soaking up the engaging atmosphere.

For kids, there’s the Beanstalk Bistro, which has a great selection of small meals and snacks—their grilled cheese sandwiches are good here.

And if you’re craving seafood, Celine’s Fish and Chips is a must-try. They use only the finest fish, and their classic cod and chips are always a hit. But if you’re feeling adventurous, try their deep-fried oysters.

For vegetarians, Chau Veggie Express has delicious vegan Vietnamese dishes worth trying.

Pro Tip: For seafood and ramen lovers, go check out Fuji Corner. Their lobster ramen is amazing—the broth is rich and flavorful, and the lobster is cooked to perfection.

You’ve got your classic fast food options like Taco Time, but also more gourmet spots like Edo Japan, serving up fresh and flavorful Japanese dishes. And if you’re craving Asian cuisine, Flaming Wok is a popular choice for their stir-fries, noodles, and rice dishes.

But my personal favorite is Hula. They make these incredible poke bowls, packed with fresh, flavorful ingredients. I always load up on toppings and sauces—it’s a healthy and delicious option that will leave you feeling energized and satisfied.
