  • Track Record: We looked into how long the company had been operating and its clientele. We also looked into their track record of long-term relationships and successful project management.
  • Availability of Support: We assessed how quickly companies responded to support tickets and inquiries. Firms offering 24/7 help desk support or dedicated account managers stood out.
  • Pricing and Value: We compared price models and looked at how clearly companies communicate their costs. We looked into those that offered flexible, scalable pricing or value-packed plans and packages.
  • Innovation and Technology: We looked into how well each company kept up with emerging trends like cloud computing and cybersecurity protocols. We also gave points for in-house R&D or proprietary tools.

1. Dyrand Systems

With Dyran Systems, one of our favorite features is their pod-based system. Each business is assigned a dedicated help desk team. This ensures 24/7 support, especially for Microsoft 365 services.

Another noteworthy offering is their cybersecurity solutions. In particular, they offer services such as regular security audits, backup planning, and threat analysis. We find this sufficient for businesses of all sizes.

For clients looking into cost savings, their cloud services are a solid option. As we’ve calculated, businesses can save up to 20% in costs compared to traditional IT setups. It’s also much more flexible, as cloud options are better for scalability.

Their co-managed IT support is also a big help, especially for companies that are still growing. This offering enables them to get the extra manpower they need, as well as specialized insight without fully outsourcing.

The biggest downside, though, is that clients encountered access control issues after terminating services. This may be a deal-breaker for companies that don’t want to be locked in a long-term partnership.

Pros

  • Dedicated pod-based support teams
  • 24/7 support availability
  • 99.9% uptime for Microsoft 365
  • Robust cybersecurity solutions
  • Solid cloud solution services
  • Co-managed IT support option
  • Ideal for small to mid-sized companies
  • Fast migration and management

Cons

  • Account access issue post-termination
  • Minor lapses in offboarding transparency

Efficient and excellent work

“The problem on this one, was that we messed up internally. Bad communication, whatever. Stuff happens. So now the pressure is on to make sure an account is activated and ready to go for first thing next morning. Dyrand made our priorities their priorities. They got things done for us in a hurry and that is truly appreciated. Not just they, but particularly Deborah and Efrain stick handled things into the net and made the play. Thanks for that!”

Quick, efficient service. Took the time to work through the issue and completely solve it in one session.”

Revotech’s managed IT services stood out to us for their flexibility and accessibility. Some of the features we liked include an easy-to-use client portal and direct phone access for urgent support. These are both essential for real-time responses.

One of their major strengths is their proactive support model. They achieve this through solid preventative measures. These measures include a structured onboarding process, risk assessment, and real-time infrastructure monitoring.

If there’s an offering we particularly liked, it’s their Remote Monitoring Management (RMM) setups. This enables smooth software deployment and patching, without disrupting in-office operations.

As for cybersecurity, we find it a highly commendable option too. Clients we spoke with mentioned training sessions and phishing simulations. This is a great starting point for companies handling sensitive data.

The only area where some companies wanted improvement was in the onboarding timeline. There were occasional delays during initial setup, though the quality of service was never questioned, as it was solid.

Pros

  • Highly client-centric culture
  • Dual channel support
  • Fast ticket turnaround
  • Real-time emergency response
  • Thorough risk assessment
  • Offers remote monitoring and management
  • Minimal disruptions during updates
  • Strong cybersecurity solutions
  • Smooth hybrid cloud transitions
  • Scalable infrastructure

Cons

  • Onboarding delays for some clients
  • Lacks pricing transparency

Quick to respond

“I appreciate the quick response we receive from Revotech each time. Having both the online portal to submit tickets or just calling directly is very helpful. The techs have always been easy to work with and give simple and clear instructions.”

Highly reliable and responsive

“It’s awesome seeing a local business like Revotech Networks thrive. Chris, John and their entire team put their hearts into their work, and it clearly pays off. They’re highly reliable and responsive, and take great care in handling any of our IT issues, no matter how small. Their great reputation is well-deserved.”

Our team was impressed by Cloud Collective’s team-based approach to support. Rather than relying on individual technicians, they build institutional memory through shared documentation and collaborative services.

As for customer support, we liked that they offer 3 different tiers for their helpdesks (this includes both remote and on-site assistance). The clients we interviewed all agreed that they’re quick with diagnostics and resolutions.

Cybersecurity is another strong suit. Cloud Collective provides next-generation endpoint protection, immutable backups, and dark-web monitoring. For clients of all sizes, this proactive approach is perfect to protect sensitive data.

Additional services include managed firewalls, software licensing, and vendor management – all coordinated through a single point of contact. This makes it easy for companies to scale up without vendor crawling.

We also wish their rates were more transparent, and their onboarding is a bit faster. Nonetheless, we find them a valuable partner for smooth integration and overall dependability, especially for those who are just starting out.

Pros

  • Technically competent team
  • Personalized client support
  • Team-based approach
  • 3 tiers for helpdesk support
  • Strong cybersecurity services
  • Staff training included
  • Strategic IT roadmap planning
  • Handles software licensing and vendor management
  • Hardware procurement available
  • Clear documentation

Cons

  • Onboarding takes some time
  • Legacy systems can slow integration

Great service and support

“Jeff helped us to set up New Pcs at our office. Great service and support . Thank you for all  ongoing support.”

Very professional and supportive

“The team at Cloud Collective have been great to work with; we have very few issues with our network and when we do, they’re generally managed quickly and professionally.  The team is very helpful in planning our IT needs, managing cyber security and working as supportive partners to our business.  Highly recommend.”

Technikel’s services are reliable and comprehensive, especially their managed IT offering. These include 24/7 secure monitoring, patch management, and help desk support.

What makes them a more compelling choice is that they offer an IT health check and a secure visibility scan. This helps clients see system gaps first before committing financially.

Teknikel also impressed us with their cybersecurity expertise. Their solutions include real-time monitoring, data encryption, and firewall management. The one we appreciate the most is that they offer employee training to prevent breaches.

As proof of credibility, clients told us that they noticed reduced malware and phishing issues.

For businesses, we find their cloud and VoIP services dependable for remote work capabilities. Plus, the cloud storage is robust and easily accessible anywhere. This helps clients scale up but still remain cost-efficient.

The major downside, though, is that they have limited availability for new clients. Due to this, onboarding can take longer than expected. However, for long-term benefits, we see them as a good choice.

Pros

  • Proactive IT model
  • 24/7 security monitoring
  • Free IT Health Check and Security Scan
  • On-site and remote IT support
  • Clear pricing
  • Strong cybersecurity support
  • Real-time threat detection
  • Compliance-focused services
  • Scalable cloud and VoIP solutions
  • Fast technician response times
  • Ideal for hybrid or remote teams

Cons

  • Slow onboarding for new clients
  • Limited availability

Made a large positive impact

“The service we have received from Technikel has been a breath of fresh air. We made the switchover in May 2022, and it has made a large positive impact on our business. We’ve switched from reactive to proactive in terms of projects and planning for the future. This feels like a true partnership where our best interests are always considered.”

Chad Nehring | Google Review

Great technical knowledge

“Great technical knowledge, quick and responsive service and really great to deal with.  The team are all very professional and happy to help.

10/10 would recommend.”

5. MSP Corp West

Location: 355 Burrard St Suite 990
Contact: +18889763852
Opening Hours: Open 24 hours

What we particularly liked about MSP Corp West is its Microsoft endorsement. Their team has solid knowledge of Azure environments, enabling seamless migration from legacy systems to scalable cloud platforms.

Following this, the clients we interviewed appreciated their training programs and user support for Microsoft 365 and Power BI. They have Azure-certified consultants too, who handle everything from VM migration to multi-site synchronization.

In addition, their end-to-end managed IT services also deserved praise. Their range of offerings is varied. They offer 24/7 monitoring, patch management, helpdesk support, and infrastructure planning.

In short, they’re ideal for companies of all sizes.

Customer support is also a major win. They have multiple locations across Canada, plus they have bilingual support available. This makes them an accessible choice for clients who prefer face-to-face interactions.

Unfortunately, we did hear complaints about poor internal management, which affected client performance. This is likely due to an acquisition move made by the company, although this issue appears to be isolated.

Pros

  • Microsoft-endorsed partner
  • Strong Azure expertise
  • Seamless cloud migration process
  • End-to-end managed IT services
  • Solid cybersecurity support
  • Disaster recovery planning included
  • Training for Microsoft 365 and Power BI
  • Nationwide presence
  • Bilingual support available

Cons

  • Inconsistent service quality
  • Minor issues with internal management

Straightforward and knowledgeable

“Offered our group unique, straightforward lessons that went beyond the basics of Power BI.  The instructor was knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions we had.”
