If you answered the latter, then boy should you look into getting a corporate DJ here in Vancouver! Apart from bringing good tunes to any party, a good DJ can also help you get your sound systems checked and even host and announce for you.
Our annual spring party’s just around the block, and we’re thinking of really sprucing it up this year. That’s why some coworkers and I finally got together to do a round trip of the best DJs to tune up our vibe, and here’s a few of our favorites.

Hiring a corporate DJ in Vancouver for your event can cost you anywhere from $500 to $2500, depending on the length of the event, any specialty equipment needed on-site, and add-on services booked.

If you’ve looked into getting any audio entertainment here in Vancouver, there’s a chance you might have heard of The Link International. The spot got pretty popular among locals for their song varieties, so we couldn’t resist giving them a look.
Right off the bat, we were blown away by the quality of their sound equipment. Regulars were happy to praise these for their volume and sound quality, and reportedly didn’t even take that long to set up either!
Of course, we got to asking about the DJs’ experience as well. Many we spoke to mentioned their DJs being able to vary up their song choices, blending various genres from different cultures and musicians to keep the crowd guessing.
On that note, customers also praised how accommodating the team was of guests’ requests, taking into account how well they could blend the requested songs into their current set. Definitely a plus in our book!
If you’re planning to get them for your event, we’d recommend booking early. A few customers mentioned facing long waiting times to hear back from the team on whether they can accommodate their scheduled events.

Sometimes booking a DJ comes on short notice, whether your last one abruptly cancelled or you found some space in your budget for one. In that case, locals were pretty happy to swear by Zapped Productions for those events!
The first thing we appreciated was how quick their communication was. We were able to get a response from them in a pretty timely manner, and they were happily replying to our inquiries even in the evening hours! Talk about commitment.
This timeliness also extended to their services, as we heard from customers. The team was reportedly very timely when coming to events, arriving at agreed upon times and getting set up fairly quickly as well.
Finally, we also noted the wide variety of DJs available at the company, all with various specializations and genres. A few regulars let us know that having multiple DJs meant getting scheduled easily, so this is a plus for us!
That being said, the same regulars did mention that it could be difficult requesting a specific DJ as a result. If you like one’s vibe specifically, we’d recommend reaching out to the team to see if you can get them for your event.

When it comes to corporate events, DJs aren’t necessarily just there to keep a dance floor going; they can fill in for hosts as well! A particular favorite for locals looking for these kinds of DJs was Airwaves Music, and it wasn’t hard to see why.
Their booking process was pretty streamlined from what we saw and heard, with customers being able to set their preferred dates and budget ahead of time. Getting their event scheduled or rescheduled was also reportedly easy!
Another highlight was the communication from the staff. Most customers we got to chat with praised the team’s consultations, helping them discuss specific song requests, set up a playlist and get connected with a DJ to suit the event.
Of course, the DJs got their fair share of praise as well. In particular, customers praised the charisma of each one, noting how well their team could read the room, make any necessary announcements, and keep everyone on time as well.
However, some regulars left us with some advice to confirm with the company about your chosen DJ on the day of the event. Some reported their DJ being replaced or changed on short notice due to scheduling conflicts.

Getting a DJ can be a bit daunting for some folks, both because of pricing and not knowing where to even start. Don’t reach for your music player and trusty playlist just yet, though: not without trying a visit to Hot Wax Entertainment.
Hot Wax Entertainment rose to popularity among locals as a reliable starting point for those exploring DJ services, and we got to find out why! One highlight was how friendly and approachable the team was, both during booking and during the event.
This welcoming approach was also helped along by their flexibility with customer requests, whether customers were looking to set a unified genre for their setlist or having them make specific announcements.
We got to chat with a few newcomers as well, who appreciated the team’s recommendations for music that fit the event. They were also reportedly able to troubleshoot problems with their sound systems at the venue, saving the headache!
On the other hand, a few customers did mention wanting to see more improvement on their blending and mixing. Some reported the team struggling to transition from one song to another within certain genres or playlists.

Presto Entertainment rose to prominence around corporate parties for their photo booths, so you can imagine our surprise when locals were happy to praise their DJing services as well! With that kind of reception, how could we resist a visit?
Right off the jump, one immediate highlight customers mentioned was the wide variety of DJs for various kinds of events. Whether you’re looking for an understated one to host a meeting or someone who can get the floor going, you’re likely to find one here.
These DJs were also pretty effective as hosts, as regulars liked to tell us! Many were reportedly pretty good at keeping the dance floor going and making announcements at the necessary times, flexing their set around the event’s schedule.
To our surprise, customers booking them for corporate events also praised the planning process behind each one. These were notably in-depth, helping customers work out their preferred setlist, vibe and even what to avoid during the event!
If you’re booking their services, we’d recommend requesting a copy of their open schedule slots if you can. A few customers reported having trouble following up on each DJ’s availability, making picking one for their events a little tricky.
