Roadsurfer just makes van rentals convenient and easy. They have a nice fleet, full of modern units with complete amenities
We like the range of useful features, too. Customers can expect to see 360° cameras, Apple CarPlay, and heating systems.
During our pick-up and drop-off process, everything went smoothly. This is also largely thanks to the tutorial video and checklist that they gave us beforehand.
And we can’t acknowledge their staff, either. Their customer service is pretty dedicated, answering questions promptly and walking us through every process in a friendly way.
Unlike many competitors, Roadsurfer includes unlimited mileage in their rentals. On top of this, their rates are just right for the quality of service they offer.
It’s quite a shame that the add-ons were limited, though – bike racks, for example, aren’t available. At least, there are plenty of free extras. They offer linens, washing soap, and toilet paper.
As for booking, we had the easiest and fastest experience with them. Everything was seamless on both their online portal and mobile app.

One of the first things we noticed about L&P was how easy it was to communicate with them. And they’re seriously helpful, too – they offer travel tips and would occasionally check in to see if everything is smooth sailing.
Of course, we’re just as happy seeing their vans. Units are well-equipped with cookware, fresh linens, propane, camping chairs, and full water tanks.
The range of camper models was also a delight. There are budget options, as well as luxury options. Others have an interior bike storage, while others have rooftop tents.
However, the number of vehicles per model is where customers may find a bit of an issue. During in-demand seasons, certain models will be unavailable for a pretty long time.
There are more positives than negatives, though. For instance, the booking process took off without a hitch. Pick-up times are flexible, and we appreciate the luggage storage option (ideal for guests on their last day of touring).
Rates are average and transparent. Plus, if you book for at least 14 days, they’re pretty generous with discounts. Just don’t forget to bring it up.

We love Karma’s range of campervan options. Most of their units are relatively new,so everything looked clean and complete with many conveniences.
Each van is equipped with modern amenities like USB ports, a heating system, and clean running water. Solar panels and back up cameras are also available.
One of their major advantages is how winter-ready each van is for the cold weather. Units are winterized, able to maintain a warm temperature even in sub-zero temperatures.
And you may love this kind of feature if you’re planning to book them for long trips. Karma allows one-way trips to cities like Vancouver and Calgary. Think long road trips through the Rockies or the Pacific Northwest.
Downside? Vans must currently be picked up at specific locations. A little flexibility in this area is definitely needed.
The process was smooth, though. Booking, pick-up, and drop-off is made easy with video orientations and automatic check-ins.
We have no complaints about their fair rental prices too. And considering they have gas-efficient vans with built-in solar powers, cutting down costs is easier for the renter.

Fraserway has decades of experience in camper van rentals, so we had high expectations. The range of vehicles alone immediately met our standards.
They have some of the largest fleets in all of Canada, with vehicles ranging from van conversions to Class C motorhomes. Everything is also available in multiple sizes, catering to different types of travelers.
We loved that each rental has a comprehensive convenience kit. This includes cooking utensils, linens, blankets, and outdoor essentials like chairs and flashlights.
Camper vans are always ready to use, too. Propane and water tanks are filled before departure, which lessens the hassle for the clients.
They ticked pretty much everything: smooth booking, fair pricing, and exceptional customer service. Pet-friendly vans? Yes, they won in that part too.
But what we appreciate the most is the 24/7 roadside assistance. For issues like system failure or even broken fridges, they immediately offer vehicle replacements.
For minor issues, however, their seamless phone support was enough.
Their fleet, on the rough side, isn’t mostly new. In some units, wear and tear is quite visible. This also means that WiFi connectivity and GPS features for these models are quite wonky.
