In my first yoga class, I pretzed myself into what I thought was a downward-facing dog. Ok, I looked more like a confused dachshund. 

Needless to say, I left feeling more defeated than zen. But that initial fumble didn’t extinguish my desire to experience the much-vaunted benefits of yoga—the flexibility, the stress relief, the inner peace. 

Luckily, bullheadedness can pay off even in yoga. After attending my fair share of yoga classes throughout the city, I’ve become a pretty serious practitioner. 

If you’re anything like me, curious about yoga but maybe a little inflexible, I’ve found all the best yoga studios in the city to help you get that inner zen. Here are all my top picks!
