The expertise of the team is equally noteworthy. Dr. David T.C. Lin, a prominent figure in the field, has collaborated with leading professionals and holds outstanding credentials.
But it’s not at all perfect. Many former patients have expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of robust aftercare services. If you’re after comprehensive follow-up care, this may be something to consider before deciding.

We also found it impressive that LASIK MD uses some of the most advanced tools available. The Excimer laser stands out for its precision and speed, ensuring accurate results.
Their use of the Bausch & Lomb laser is equally notable. It shapes the cornea to mimic the natural curvature of a healthy eye—such attention to detail truly stands out.
The Zero Compression Keratome is another standout. We like that it saves corneal tissue by creating thinner, uniform flaps. As a result, it makes the surgery safer and less invasive.

His use of the SmartSurface Laser Procedure—a no-touch, no-flap form of laser correction—stood out. This technique takes about 40 seconds per eye. It’s also considered one of the safest methods for vision correction.
Dr. Maloney’s specialization in refractive laser procedures is also top-notch. He uses advanced IOL designs—special lenses implanted to correct astigmatism.
What we appreciated most was his transparency about the recovery process. Many patients found the step-by-step guide helpful for post-procedure care. It’s a thoughtful touch that makes a big difference.
But one aspect that didn’t quite meet our expectations was the difficulty scheduling an initial consultation. As a result, we had to wait several weeks for an appointment.
