Conquering one of i-Exit Vancouver’s escape rooms is one of the best things to do when you’re over Yaletown. It’s the perfect example of what an escape room provider should be, boasting different themed rooms and challenging puzzles that will force players to think outside the box.
The themes featured here include pirate adventures, casinos and even a unique spin on The Matrix franchise. Among these themes, however, their most famous one is the Music Studio Room, which forces players to mix some tunes and create the right type of music to escape.
People of all ages can enjoy these rooms because they don’t feature a run-of-the-mill haunted horrors theme. Plus, they’ll provide some hints when needed to make sure that players can finish the rooms as much as possible.
Pro tip: Walk-ins are allowed, but this doesn’t guarantee a spot for you and your group. To make sure that your slots are locked in, we recommend booking through their online portal, where you can pay through a credit/debit card. |
Pandora’s Locks

Contact details: +1 778-891-1993
Operating hours:
- Sunday to Friday: 3:00 PM to 8:45 PM
- Saturday: 1:15 to 10:30 PM
Rates: 30CAD per head
When you ask any Vancouverites what their favourite escape room is, you’ll most likely hear Pandora’s Locks as their answer—and it’s not hard to see why! For starters, they’re one of the few providers that makes their rooms feel like full-blown adventures instead of just a puzzle.
We say this because their rooms are presented like movies with themes like fantasy, post-apocalyptic wasteland and a murder mystery. Each of these rooms will set up a premise that further adds to the immersion of the game, making you feel like you’re in the setting itself!
It’s also one of the most accessible escape rooms around Vancouver, as it provides players with unlimited hints. If you want our advice, however, we recommend refraining from using them as much as possible, especially if you still have a lot of time by your side.
Pro tips: We recommend taking public transit when visiting Pandora’s Locks, as it’s conveniently located right outside Columbia Skytrain Station. If you’re arriving via car, you can try parking on the adjacent streets of Pandora’s Locks. But do keep in mind, that these spots are only free for 2 hours. |

Address: 88 W Pender St #2075, Second floor, Vancouver, BC V6B 6N9, Canada
Contact details: +1 778-379-7727
Operating hours Thursday to Tuesday: 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Rates:
- Adults: 35CAD
- Kids (12 and under): 32CAD
Not a lot of escape rooms can achieve Find and Seek’s way of making players feel like they’re the main protagonist of the story. This is because their rooms are like mini-adventures, complete with gripping stories, innovative puzzles and of course, fun gameplay!
There are only 2 themed rooms here but hey, at least both of them are of high quality! The first one involves a magician who has a knack for creating mind-bending illusions and it’s the player’s goal to find the relics responsible for these crazy tricks.
Meanwhile, the second one is your good old horror escape room, featuring lurking evil and unexplained dark secrets. It also features a cool 80s retro design, so be prepared to go back in time!
Pro tips: Choose this escape room if someone is physically disabled in your group. Both of the rooms featured here are wheelchair accessible, and getting here is a breeze even though it’s located on the second floor thanks to its elevator. You don’t have to do these rooms in a certain order even though they’re called chapters. Instead, you can think of them as anthologies, which have separate stories. |

These settings are masterfully pulled off thanks to the attention to detail that each room features. Plus, providing these premises makes for a much more immersive experience as opposed to a plain escape room where players would hurriedly find a way out.
It’s also worth noting that each room varies in difficulty and physical activity levels. You can study the stats of each room on their website before visiting so you and your group will know what you’re in for.
Pro tips: If you’re looking for something more stress-relieving than solving puzzles, you can also check EXIT’s anger rooms. Here, you can smash all your problems by swinging at different objects such as glass, old TVs, etc. You can also check out EXIT’s other branches if you find West Broadway too far away. They have branches in Richwood, Burnaby, Gastown and more. |
