The pumpkin patch will open on September 30, and you can get in after paying a $6 per person entrance fee. From then on, you can enjoy everything you see on the farm, from the cows and chickens to the general store and pumpkins.

Pro Tip: Consider coming during weekdays, around 3:00 PM, if you have a toddler. The farm is usually less busy around those days, so they can explore it more comfortably and enjoy the experience more.

Richmond Country Farms is one of the best places for families searching for a quintessential fall experience. It’s just in Richmond and about half an hour away from Vancouver, making it one of the closest pumpkin patches families can visit.

Visitors can ride hay wagons to reach the pumpkin patch, where they can pick their own pumpkins. Aside from that, you can also visit the corn mazes and sunflower fields, enjoy live music, taste some excellent wines, and ride a cute little train with your kiddos!

If that’s not enough, there’s also a market that honestly deserves all the praise in the world! You’d find strawberries, corn, apples, brussels sprouts, watermelons, potatoes, kale, and so much more in their freshest form!

Pro Tip: Before going to the pumpkin patch, the farm will let you meet their animals. The kids may get really excited upon seeing them, but please remind them not to touch or feed the animals, as it’s strictly prohibited.

Laity Pumpkin Patch

North Address: 21145 128 Ave, Maple Ridge, BC V4R 2R9, Canada

South Address: 12725 Laity St, Maple Ridge, BC V4R 2P2, Canada

Distance from Vancouver: 50 minutes

Contact details: 604 380 1615, [email protected]

Laity Pumpkin Patch has two delightful pumpkin patch locations, the original farm on 128 Ave and the 5-year-old farm in Laity St. Both locations, though, have something in common: there are so many things to do and see!

First, there’s the massive pumpkin field where kids can run around and try to carry a pumpkin that’s probably almost the same weight as them. Then, there’s a corn maze specifically made for little ones to have fun.

Visitors can also jump on the farm’s hay wagon and get a tour of the farm before heading to the farm animals and petting them. The South farm has a goat house and rabbit village, while the North farm has donkeys, sheep, turkeys, and more.

Pro Tip:
If you want to visit both locations, start with the South Farm first. You won’t be able to make a left turn out of the North farm, so it can get pretty hard to go to the South farm if you don’t go there first.

If you’re fine with walking, you can start on either farm. The walk will be around 10 to 15 minutes.
