The parking lot of Kitsilano Community Centre transforms into a lively farmers market, offering almost everything you can imagine. Think of the freshest fruits and vegetables, meat and poultry, baked goods, artisanal food, and local craft beer every Sunday during the summer. 

Additionally, there are food and coffee trucks here, making it the perfect stop for foodies. As for our fellow collectors, there are also plenty of handmade crafts to take home.

Getting here is easy as the place is accessible by public transit, with the Broadway bus route being the closest. Simply get off at Larch and walk one block south, where you’ll find the community center and market. 

However, for those driving, it’s important to note that parking is limited and restricted to residents on nearby streets. If you’re a visitor, feel free to park on W 12th Ave or on W Broadway – don’t forget!

River District Farmers’ Market

Opened in June 2016, the Downtown Market is one of the freshest farmers’ markets in the city, replacing the former Thursday Yaletown Market located four blocks south on the corner of Georgia & Hamilton. 

Fun fact — this market owes its existence to the Vancouver Civic Theatres and the city’s Activation of Underutilized Civic Theatre Spaces Grant, which aims to breathe new life into forgotten spaces for the benefit of the community!
