The 5 Best Bathroom Renovation Services in Vancouver That Are Worth Calling

bathroom-renovation-services-in-vancouver
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.
  • Experience: We chose contractors with a solid track record in bathroom renovations. We checked this by taking a look at their portfolios and past projects.
  • Communication and Professionalism: We looked for contractors who were responsive, clear in their communication, and respectful throughout the whole process. We asked some former clients about their experiences with them to assess this.
  • Timeline and Availability: We prioritized contractors who could start within a reasonable timeframe and provided realistic and clear project timelines.
  • Pricing: We selected contractors who offered transparent quotes with a detailed breakdown of costs. We also checked other contractors and chose those with competitive rates.

One of my favorite parts of the week is having a self-care night in my bathroom. That’s the blissful time when I do an everything shower, take it slow, and just let the stress melt away. It’s honestly the most healing part of my routine.

But lately, that vibe’s been totally off. The tiles had some mold creeping in, the shower water wasn’t draining properly, and the glass divider refused to close properly. That’s when I realized my bathroom hadn’t been in great shape for years.

If you’re in the same boat, don’t worry. My team and I went on the hunt for the best bathroom renovation services in Vancouver, and we found some gems.

How much do bathroom renovations cost in Vancouver?

Bathroom renovations in Vancouver cost between $15,000 and $30,000, depending on the project’s size, materials, and complexity. High-end renovations can exceed $40,000.

1. Grand Renovations

Grand Renovations was really organized. They manage the permits and any requirements for strata buildings. That alone takes a huge weight off, especially for apartment owners in Vancouver, where rules can be tricky.

Most bathroom renovations take about 2-4 weeks, and they seem to stick to that pretty well. That said, some customers did mention they wished there were a few more updates when materials were delayed.

What really sets them apart for us is their customizations. We think they’re a really great choice if you want some spa-inspired designs. They have features like steam showers, freestanding tubs, and smart thermostats.

We also liked the 3D planning and CAD layout they offer. Being able to actually see what the bathroom will look like before they start tearing anything down makes a big difference.

Their pricing is pretty fair. They give a clear, detailed quote with no hidden fees. Bathroom renovations range from $10,000 to $50,000, depending on how fancy you get.

We did think that if you’re looking for something simple, some of the higher-end design packages might feel a bit out of budget. That said, the transparency in their pricing made it easy to understand exactly where your money is going.

Pros

  • Highly organized
  • Sticks to timelines
  • Strong in customizations
  • Great for spa-like upgrades
  • 3D planning tools
  • Transparent pricing
  • Good value for high-end results

Cons

  • A few reports of limited updates during delays
  • Not ideal for smaller budgets

The crew was professional and respectful of our space

“We recently worked with Grand Renovations on a bathroom renovation at our home in Kerrisdale, and we’re really happy with how everything turned out. We had them replace our old tub with a walk-in shower, and the new setup looks amazing—super clean and modern. The crew was professional, respectful of our space, and easy to work with. You can tell they’re a renovation company that knows what they’re doing and takes pride in their work. If you’re thinking about a bathroom update, especially a tub-to-shower conversion, I’d definitely recommend Grand Renovations.”

They were super efficient and got the job done quickly

What impressed me most was the quality of the craftsmanship—everything looks amazing, and you can tell they really care about the details. The whole process was smooth, and the team was great to work with. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking to do a renovation”

We talked to homeowners who had bathroom makeovers with Heilman Renovations, and almost everyone was satisfied with their service. They’re fully licensed, insured, and WorkSafe compliant, which is always a plus.

Something that came up again and again was how Joe stayed in touch. Clients mentioned daily texts and updates. It might seem like a small thing, but it really helped them feel more in control during the renovation.

For families trying to keep life normal while work is going on, that kind of clear and regular communication is essential.

We also heard how fast the team works. A family we talked to did a massive renovation for their kitchen, four bathrooms, and floors. Somehow, it was all wrapped up in just under 45 days. It was quite impressive because the quality didn’t suffer.

We also liked how they helped their clients stay on budget. One homeowner had to renovate a bathroom fast but couldn’t afford to go all out. Joe worked with them to reuse what they could, and the final result still looked high-end.

While most people raved about the service, we did hear from someone who asked for a detailed breakdown of a quote and got a pretty vague response. We get that some pricing structures are hard to itemize, but a little more clarity would go a long way.

Pros

  • Daily updates
  • Fast turnaround
  • Budget-friendly options
  • Licensed and insured
  • High customer satisfaction

Cons

  • A few reports about lack of pricing transparency

The team were organized, skilled, and worked quickly

“Heilman Renovations did an amazing job of renovating our apartment.  Joe and his team were organized, skilled and worked quickly, completing the kitchen and two bathroom renovation in record time and with excellent quality…”

His team paid a lot of attention to cleanliness

“Joe and his team took on complete renos to our bathrooms, and did this while we were away on a vacation. Joe brought several alternatives for us to consider before we left, flooring, fixtures, lighting, and then made it all happen. He gave us a schedule and budget and delivered on both. The work was of high quality, and what a pleasure to come home to new bathrooms. His team paid a lot of attention to cleanliness, cleaned up thoroughly, and Joe was diligent in making sure we were completely happy with all aspects of their work.”

Our team checked out Innovera Home concepts, and they’ve been around since 2001. Besides bathroom renovations, they’ve also taken everything from full house renovations to movie set builds, which gave us a lot of confidence in them.

We looked through their recent work, and their craftsmanship is amazing.

The finishes were clean, and the designs felt modern but not overdone. They also clearly know how to make a space look high-end while still being practical.

One thing we learned from speaking with past clients was how respectful the team is when working in someone’s home. Job sites are kept impressively clean, and they do their best not to cause too much disruption.

That said, they aren’t the cheapest option. Their pricing leans higher, but we think it makes sense. They handle everything from sourcing materials and securing permits to executing the build. You wouldn’t have to juggle different contractors.

We also got a peek at their bathroom packages, and they include some really cool features, like touchless lighting and programmable showers.

Plus, they make an effort to be eco-friendly, using water-saving fixtures and LED lighting as standard.

Pros

  • Over 20 years of experience
  • High-quality workmanship
  • Keeps job sites clean
  • Minimal disruption
  • All-in-one service
  • Smart and eco-friendly features

Cons

  • Relatively higher pricing

Would definitely hire Innovera again

“We have have hired many contractors over the years, but dealing with Nick from Innovera has easily been our best experience to date. From our first consultation to the finishing touches in our bathroom reno, his advice, attention to detail and workmanship have been exceptional. Despite manufacturer delays, we were kept informed and once the materials had arrived, Nick really made us feel we were a priority, ultimately finishing the job ahead of schedule. We couldn’t be happier and would definitely hire Innovera again.”

The Van Bath Renos team was easy to talk to. We tested their free quote process and got honest, straightforward answers without any sales pressure.

Their pricing ranges from $120 to $275 per square foot. They’re definitely not cheap, but the price seems fair for the quality.

They also do a good job working within your budget. We gave them two different price points during our undercover consultation. We appreciate how they offered different ways to get the look we wanted without going over.

We were curious about their accessibility features, and a former client shared his experience. The team didn’t just offer the basics. They had custom solutions like walk-in tubs and grab bars that actually looked good and not like those in hospitals.

That said, we wish they had more photos of those projects on their website. It’d help people visualize the result better. And since not many contactors offer that, it could really set them apart.

Their projects are also finished on schedule, even with some curveballs. One couple even had their bathroom completely remodeled while they were out of the country, and everything went smoothly.

Design-wise, we like how flexible they are. They can do beyond the standard look, like steam showers with benches, antique vanities, or frameless glass showers.

However, they’re in high demand. You probably won’t start right away, but they’re worth the wait, so its best to reach out early.

Pros

  • Friendly communication
  • Free quotes
  • Flexible budgeting options
  • Custom accessibility features
  • Stays on schedule
  • Handles unique and upscale design requests
  • High-quality workmanship

Cons

  • Not the cheapest option
  • Possible delays due to high demand

They transformed my bathroom into a haven

“Van Bath Renos transformed my bathroom into a haven. As someone with mobility challenges, the walk-in bath and safety features they installed have made a significant difference. The attention to detail and commitment to accessibility are commendable.”

-Holden Gerald, Google review

The team was very helpful and accommodating

“Our bathroom renovation went incredibly smoothly, despite a somewhat challenging location. The team from Van Bath Renos was very helpful and accommodating with us choosing our own fittings, we were kept well-informed, and everyone involved was professional and friendly. We are delighted with the result. We wholeheartedly recommend Van Bath Renos.”

There’s just something about Five Star Bath Solutions’ wall system that caught our attention. It looks like a tile but doesn’t have grout lines, so no scrubbing is needed.

It’s also waterproof, and we loved how it’s designed to resist mold and mildew. It’ll make cleaning super easy.

One thing our team really liked was how they actually stuck to timelines. A client we talked to said her bathroom was done in just four days, just like the company promised.

And even during the renovation, the team kept the space clean and caused minimal disruption. It’s a good sign for those homeowners who don’t want to see a lot of mess around.

To be fair, their pricing is a bit expensive, but it’s reasonable. We compared quotes with other companies, and they either matched or beat them. More importantly, they were transparent.

We also appreciate that they offer a lifetime warranty that stays with the house, even if you sell it. That’s rare since most companies use outside warranty services.

If we had one small critique, it’s that their design options are a bit traditional. You won’t find super trendy colors or high-end luxury finishes, but what they do offer looks clean, modern, and practical.

Pros

  • Easy-to-clean wall system
  • Waterproof and mold-resistant
  • Sticks to timelines
  • Clean and respectful crew
  • Transparent pricing
  • Lifetime warranty

Cons

  • Slightly higher pricing
Not ideal for those who want trendy or high-end luxury finishes

Excellent workmanship!

“I am really pleased to share my bathroom renovation project with those seeking to make a safe shower with a lifetime warranty.  No more grout cleaning for me and no slippery surface. Out with my tub and in with my shower with a seat. Excellent workmanship.”

-Karen Biggs, Google review

The workmanship is flawless and was completed as promised

“My recent shower renovation went smoothly from the start. From my initial contact with Shawn who explained and helped me in the selection of materials and designs to the technical support in prep work from Ash and then the actual hard work conducted by Gill and Kevin.  The new design is sleek, the workmanship is flawless and was completed in two to three days as promised. The full process was very well executed. I appreciate the great work, communication and work ethic from the entire team.”
